Last night I grew a beard

I am woman; so, a beard has no business to be on my chin. I am talking about a funny dream I had last night. I had a beard, a nice, long flowing one. And what's more, I wasn't distressed about it. On the contrary, I was smiling. Now, I wonder why I did something as stupid as growing a beard in my dreams. I wouldn't dream of doing it in real life. If I see even a tiny overgrown hair on my chin, I get mad and can't rest till I have pulled the hapless hair out. And why would a person like me grow a beard in her dreams? Any dream experts here? Could you give me some exciting interpretations? Does it mean I am going on a round-the-world-trip or something? Or does it means I am gonna be as rich as a Sheik? Eagerly waiting for responses ... Cheers and happy mylotting

Some times we see only those things in our dream about which we are terrified. May be you are very cautious about facial hair and hence you saw that dream. I some times dream that I went to a shop with my night gown on. I would never do that in real life. But may be I am cautious about my dresses and hence I saw that in my dream. Usually dreams project ones fear and emotions. Dreams can be interpreted in many ways. But most of them do not make any sense. But if you dream about a particular thing repeatedly, then you should really start taking notice of it. by the way its interesting to learn about the interpretation of dreams. You can give a search and find some good websites about the dreams and their meanings. i am sure you will get an answer to your dream. But believing it or not is upto you.

Heehehehe ... I have done that too ... gone shopping in my night gown in my dreams. Great fun!! LOL .. Actually, I am a bit scared of bearded individuals, especially those with a French beard. LOL, isn't that funny? And in my dream, I was actually enjoying my beard. :) Cheers and thanks for the response

LOL ... I wouldn't dream (no pun intended) of giggling during a viva however funny the examiner looks. I would be too nervous. Vivas used to terrify me, especially the physiology vivas when they would force a human heart or a lung into our unwilling hands and ask us to describe the stinking thing. :( I hope the grades were not affected. ;) Cheers!

Oh thats a coincidence. Even I like to stay away from bearded individuals. I somehow cannot stop staring at their beard all the times, since I feel very uncomfortable and that makes them feel uncomfortable too. Same is the case with mustaches. One of my lecturers had a funny mustache. And during viva I could not stop my laughter seeing his mustache, no matter how hard I tried. I still feel embarrased about that situation.

LOL, that's a pretty nice dream, though weird. I am not a dream interpreter, but I take everything growing longer, anything to do with flooding, raining, elements of water and nice funny things as something good and positive coming along the way. As long as I don't dream of something threatening, I would have a feel-good about my dreams. I'm a dreamer too, and I get endless dreams at night that it's pretty tiring. LOL. Is this your first time dreaming as such..?

Sai, seriously, you must stop swallowing teeth at night. Soon your tummy will be full of them and you will rattle when you walk. LOL ... the kids will enjoy it, though. Cheers and thanks for the response

There is really no way of interpreting someone else's dreams, despite what all the books that give 'dream symbolism' might say. You are the only one who knows what any given person place or thing symbolizes for you. Personally, I have given up trying to interpret my dreams. Now I just enjoy them... they are some of the best adventures I have ever had!! But I do pay attention to the general feeling of the dream. If I am afraid in the dream then when I wake up, and for the next few days even, I observe my thoughts very closely, looking for the fearful ones and then I work on easing that fear and bringing myself a sense of relief. That way I ensure that all my dreams are pleasant ones. And if I felt good in the dream I take that as a 'sign' that I am doing well in my waking life! But I'll give you an interpretation just because I know you really really want one, hehehehe. Here it is: You will find happiness in the unusual and the unexpected! Or how about this one: The masculine and feminine aspects of your personality are merging into one blended being... you are becoming a whole and unique individual!

Actually, I wanted to know how different types of people would react to this. I attach no importance to dreams, though they are very interesting, sometimes. I don't think I will ever have a significant dream like Pharaoh did after he chucked Joseph in prison. ;) As far as I am concerned, if I eat a moderate meal, I get ok dreams, and if I eat too much, I get all sorts of weird, distorted dreams. I think dreams are just fragments of what goes on in real life. Cheers and happy mylotting

I too have had many dreams that I sit and wonder what the heck did that mean? Especially if it is a reoccuring dream. I have one dream that I have a third eye in the middle of my forehead! I dont want an extra eye at all. Two are just fine, plus, the way I wear my hair (sometimes with bangs) this wouldn't work. I get so irritated when an eye lash accidently gets into my eye. I could only imagine hair completely covering my eye! I am not a dream expert or analysist, but I try to figure out what my dreams could mean too. I believe they might have some kind of meaning as, they are in my thoughts somehow right?

Apparently dreaming of a third eye means that you need to look within yourself ...

Wow, a third eye? That sure sounds exciting. I have never had a third eye in my dreams. Maybe it means you are spiritual or something? Cheers and thanks for the response

I have weird dreams like that too. I don't know why you had the dream. I think that our minds are just bored,so we dream of things that aren't realistic. I don't think there is any significance to your dream. Just random clutter in your mind.

I'm fascinated by dreams. I looked yours up, and according to one website, a woman dreaming of growing a beard means you "want to be more assertive and wield more power". I have no idea if this is true, but it sounds feasible. Oh, and of course it also means that you are going to marry a Sheik and travel abroad ... lol ...

Eeeeeeeeeeeks!! I don't want to marry a Sheikh!! I only said I wanted to be as rich as one. LOL!! And thank you so much for looking it up. I dunno any dream websites. The only problem is that I am already so assertive that if I become more assertive, people around me might run away from me. ;) Cheers and thanks for the lovely response
