I joined mylot about 4 months ago, but really only started intensely using it this week. I made one comment in May, and the rest have been since the 13th of August. I have just reached 100 comments - even though I have 272 activities - possibly replies to replies that don't seem to get counted as a discussion in our tally. Anyway I thought some of those figures may have been interesting for people that are wondering about these stars and ratings? How do u think this rates?

Getting a 9 star with 100 posts is excellent! The highest star you can get is a 10 so you are doing a great job. Your posts are getting rated + alot by other users. Keep up the good work and you will make it to the 10 star in no time. Have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks for this guidance as it gives me an idea of what it all means. It does sound like a lot of people got the same thing though on their first star!

Thankyou for the advice. I wonder if I should be worried now as my fingers are starting to feel a little sore after this weekends efforts, and if I have to keep up the same intensity long term to avoid going down...?

Yeah our stars are based on what other members rated you with by judging the quality of your posts and replies, it can be all of them or just one or two, so the more active you are here, the better opportunity you have of receiving more ratings from us. But we are only paid once per discussion whether it be our own or a reply, so reply to replies do not pay us, but again, they do give us another shot at being rated.

Hello to you vegegirl! I joined myLot more than a year ago. When I was able to reach my 100th post, I got a red star with a nine. I was really very happy about it. But when I saw my star turned blue, I was happier. Congratulations on your latest achievement. I am sure that you really worked hard to achieve this. What is important is that you are enjoying your stay here at myLot.

I think I was a 7 when I hit 100 but I don't care much about the stars I don't think they mean much other than the "quality" of your posts and if people agree, then again there could be a ton of people who like to be mean and just - you.
