I don't mean that this post is prohibited by Copyscape. We come across lines like [i]Copyright © 2008 ...corp. All Rights Reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed. [/i] at the end of some articles or news items. How far do we adhere to it. To be frank, i have rewritten a number of posts here..from articles classfied in the above class. Actually i never bothered about these warnings..not even care to note these things.. Have you ever did like this.. copying from sites.. reproducing or republishing the articles.. in your blog or in websites.. Saivenkat.

Well as one of those who has written that line several times I feel offended and also curious as I am not sure whether I was one of those people to whom you copied. I do not think it is right to do so without asking for express consent from the author or without expressing that it is not your work.

Well, there may not be any problem in normal circumstances. However, if you begin to make lots of money off the work of others I am sure someone is going to want a piece of that money. Cheers!!

Saivenkat I do not think I have done it and even if I did, I did it unknowingly. I know someone here in mylot who is banned for this reason alone. Plagiarism is a strong charge as you know and no one should resort to it. In other forums where I am a member do not allow to refer to copyrighted stuffs. So, I always give credit if a all I use any. Thanks.

Well, i think you can paraphrase and quote other people's works and not pass them off as your own. I love to be original. If I like your stuff and I want to share with colleagues and just other people, I'd prefer to quote or paraphrase and even make a reference to your works so that my readers will look for your works and read it for themselves after they have seen my review or mere reference. I just believe in originality.

Hi saivenkaat802003! Probably I might have been guilty of that one way or the other but in my recollection, everything that I have copied and pasted here, I usually attach the link where I got it from. I fear the law! haha... Take care always..God Bless!
