This book is in fact written by a fellow myLotter and I have thoroughly enjoyed and been engrossed in it from page one and am really sad that I have now finished the book as I was taken back in time to the 14th century and the amazing events that surrounded a woman called Eve de Clavering, in it you follow the turbulent sweep of the 14th century through her eyes, war, politics, murder and forbidden love. This book will be enjoyed by male or female of any age. It has been a while since I have read something that I just couldn't put down so if you are looking for an interesting book to read I recommend Letter from Poitou by Michael J Earley.
Do you read?
What was the last book you read?
What is your favourite book?

hi Ellie the book sounds really interesting I may just buy that as I love reading books like that...the one favourite book of mine is called Alternative Three it is now a banned book and was the day after its release as it contains classifies information from a former NASA operater who let a lot of secrets out about how the governments are actually hiding UFO's and working wiith aliens also what they already have built on the moon and mars also explains why there are a lot of scientists lawyers those whom are talented in their field and what happens to missing persons like you and me...it is actually quite frightening as most of it was in the late 50's this started and there undersea labs in the North Pole where they are also doing certain things...the book was re-released but had certain parts taken out but fortuantly I managed to get one..though it is expensive now Love and Huggles littleowl

Hi Littleowl, Wow the Alternative Three sounds like the sort of book I would love to read. I know many sightings can be explained but the percentage that can't as these, I will try to find a copy myself to read. The author surname I typed wrong in discussion it is Eardley not Eardley and in fact the story stems from information he found out about his ancestors of this name, Eve de Clavering was an amazing woman. Enjoyed as much as the Mist Of Avalon and their struggles in life too. Huggles. Ellie :D

Wow! As the author of this book I must say I am overhelmed by the response I have had to discussing it both at MyLot and Yuwie.
The plot involved a few of my ancestors and that's ho I got involved.
You can preview it at

Thanks again Ellie333.

Hi MichaelJay, I did in fact put this link for those genuinely interested and also the correct spelling of your name (sorry again about typing error) and the ISBN number too. I really enjoyed it and am sad now that I have finished the book, I thought Eve was a remarkable woman and it has wakened an interest in me to find out more about all these people and has taught me a lot obout the history of the time which I was quite ignorant too before.
An excellent job, I hope you write many more books of this calibre. I also hope you don't mind me posting about it especially as I made such a bad error in the discussion.

I love to read books. The last book I read was "A New Earth". I like fiction too. I like to write also. I would love to write a period piece. I will check out the book you posted. Maybe it will give me some ideas for a period piece of my own. Thanks.

Hi Jill, this was the other book I ordered when I ordered yours, Ax in a Sandbox is still not here as I was looking forward to that being my next read but on back order with amazon.co.uk so will receive at some stage so meanwhile I have another to start. I was just lost in it for a few days but am sad now I have finished it, this Eve was a remarkable woman. I won't purchase Peppercorn Woman then, I trust your judgement. Ellie :D

It sounds very interesting. I like to read historical novels of all types and historical dramas. That sounds like something I would really be interested in.
I have recently read the Ken Follett epics. I didtn get all the way through though.
The first was more interesting than the second in my opinion.

Hi Snowy, Oh it is an amazing book, I made a couple of typos though in the discussion and author is Michael J Eardley not Earley silly me the ISBN number if you are interested is 1-4137-0709-2 It was certainly one I couldn't put down and just opened my eyes up so much about the way people lived and the suffering so many had to endure too. I'll add it to my list, Ellie! I have quite a pile of unread books at the moment, as I seem to be spending far too much time on myLot! The last book I read was Duma Key (Stephen King) - which was fantastic - but I really enjoyed The Shipping News. After I'd read it I saw the movie, and it was a fantastic portrayal. Another favourite is Cloudstreet by Tim Winton. (I wish I could stay awake longer at night these days in order to read more.)

Hi Guybrush, I tend to read more crime thriller and self help or spiritual type books myself and have read a lot of Stephen King in the past but this one I loved and I am sad now that I have finished as I became completely absorbed in it. The Authors correct name as I made yet another typo is Michael J Eardley and the ISBN number is 1-4137-0709-2 Ellie :D

Hey mrs I shall have to look out for it I am currently reading two books one is The Blue Zone by Andrew Goss and the other is The Chronic Illness Workbook by Patricia A Fennell. The last two books i read (as i tend to read 2 at the same time) were The Dark Tide by Andrew Goss and Araroon by Kay Crist. Out of the 4 i would recommend Araroon which is a fantastic book about Duncan a telepath who was genetically altered as a child to enhance his psychic abilities. Cryogenically preserved he is revived so that his DNA can be used to allow the creation of genetically engineered telepathic slaves. He escaping the PSI Centre (where they are holding him) and tries to leave earth before he is captured. Whilst trying to do so he meets Elana a beautiful intelligent girl, who not only partners the Starship Araroon but also has a telepathic talent that she is keeping a secret. She hires Duncan as crew and the adventure begins... I am currently doing a lens on the book and have just interviewed the author so i'll post the link when i'm done. My favourite author is Richard Laymon (horror) but James Patterson is a close 2nd. I can't pick an absolute favourite as there are too many i love. Can you pick a favourite? what genre do you usually read?
