I just got done mowing the grass. My husband weedeats and I mow. I can't run the weedeater because it hurts too bad. Now we are fixin to go out to eat somewhere. Going to spend as much time together as we can tonight before he heads to Florida tomorrow cause no telling when he'll be back. Hopefully soon because the storm won't be bad! So, what did you just finish doing?

Just got back from Walmart and the shoe store. I didn't have to go, but decided to go with the wife. College classes have just started this week, and soon her and me will see one another for just a hour or so a day. I am amazed how much she spent on clothes and shoes, but she does need them for her new job (she is now a full-time teacher and not just a substitute teacher).

Congrats to her on becoming a full time teacher. Glad she was able to get some new duds. It was nice of you to go with her. My husband hates wal-mart, but goes with me anyway.

Hello sunnflr. Well, I just got done toasting a cinnamon raisin bagel and eating it. I was late with breakfast this a.m. as we went outdoors first thing and finished putting up the rest of the hurricane shutters. Plus, I put most of the outdoor furniture inside the back lanai, behind the large hurricane shutter we've got in there. That way, the yard stuff will be safe and not be flying around if we get alot of wind. Anyhoo, glad you had a good evening with your husband. Sorry he has to leave and hope he won't be gone long. We're hoping for a tropical storm rather than a hurricane. But it will all be revealed over the next 24 hours, won't it?

The news here just said it would be a category 1 and hit somewhere between Ft. Myers and Tampa. The biggest part anyway. Y'all stay safe.

I just let my two inside dogs out for the last time tonight and just got done eating chicken wings. It is 10:45 pm here on Sunday night in Ohio. Right now I am checking email, responding here at Mylot, over at Michy's forum, and reading others articles. Where does your hubby work? He's going to Florida? Sounds interesting. Hubby and I share the grass cutting. He does some for a while and then I do some for a while. We have a really big yard and it usually takes us a couple of hours to do it. I won't do the weed eating because I am afraid I will cut my arm or leg off, lol. :)

My hubby is good with electrical work too and I told him he should go to school for it and get a job with the electric company. Of course, he would rather work on cars or do construction. As you know from Michy's forum, he has a good chance of getting a job with Honda as a mechanic. I told him that if he does get the job, he should save up the money to get his construction business going again. Since he has a bad back he could hire people to work for him and not have to worry about doing too much work himself. He is thinking of doing that if he gets the job with Honda. Honda has offered to pay him $20 an hour! I do love our big yard but sometimes all of the work is hard, lol. I still love it though and wouldn't want it any other way. :)

Yeah he could get his contractors license and have people work under him. Of course with the economy the way it is I don't know how good he'd do. Honda might be the better bet.

My husband works for an electrical contractor. He puts up power lines, he is an apprentice lineman working towards journeyman status. We used to have a big yard before we moved. Now we get done in about 45 minutes.

Cleaning my room. I hate cleaning, lol. I had to pick up all the garbage that was thrown around. And I also had tons of plastic and glass bottles that I had to get rid of. Oh and not to mention the dirty dishes that were piling up in several corners of my room. So after I took care of all of that I had to wash all of my dirty clothes. Basically I'm tired now, lol, but I got a lot done today.
