Going Back To Work After Vacation....

I'm going back to work in the morning after having the summer off... I'm a teacher and one of the perks is having the summer off with my kids. This summer, however, was a different story. I had a 1 year old and a 2 year old plus all 4 of my own kids most all of the summer. Going back to work tomorrow may be a blessing... I will miss the kids but man, I'm tired! :)
We went on one "mini" vacation in the middle of summer break. We went to Beavers Bend, Oklahoma and fished for 2 days. It was really a nice break and fairly close to home. We usually go to Colorado or Arizona, but didn't know if we could do the gas plus accomodations and still have enough money to enjoy the trip.
What did you do for vacation this year? Did you stay closer to home because of gas prices?

I didn't go on vacation this summer I just worked and that was it. I dont get summer break I work at a hospital so I work all the time unless I take vacation days myself. But I did want 2 go on vacation but everything's just soo expensive now a days n I dont trust flying anymore either...Scares me!
