I set a goal before Sunday midnight my time and I made it

On Friday I made a list of writing goals. One of my goals was to reach 2800 posts here at mylot before 12AM Monday, or Sunday midnight depending on how you phrase it. I am not sure how it should go in correct English. I made it with 2 minutes to spare and posted my last tag at 11:58pm my time. I have never written this many posts in one weekend. I just got going on a tear and couldn't stop. Of course having so many great things to write about with the Olympics really helps. I don't know if I'll ever write that many posts again. Although I am inclined to try writing 100 posts in 24 hours as I have heard people talk about doing that here. I don't know if I could think of 100 interesting things to say to 100 post topics. I guess I'll just have to start a lot of my own discussions. But then I'll be answering comments for 3 days non stop which I am not sure I want to go through. What about you? Have you ever set a crazy mylot goal and made it? What was it and when did you do it? By the way, I completed the rest of my writing list too. Next week I resolve to spend a lot of time away from the computer exploring things as I have been in this house too much after surgery.

Since becoming a member here I have never set a goal for myself, mainly because I cannot guarantee the time that I have to spend on here. But, saying that I have just yesterday set a few goals for myself and one of them was for here and that is to reach 10,000 posts by the end of the year! Hopefully I can achieve that but notice that I did not set myself a crazy one, not that brave!

Perhaps I should follow your lead. But part of me likes meeting those crazy goals. The trick is not to get to upset when you don't achieve them.

That is indeed a lot of posts to make in a weekend or a day. I have never reached 100 in one day as I just don't think I have enough interesting stuff to say like ou mentioned. I like to respond but there are a lot of discussions I just don't understand or have any interest in. Plus I like to write a little more rather than just some generic statement and that takes much more time. I will be happy if I get 20 a day.
