Lavender can help you relax, you can put a few drops on your pillow and go to sleep. If not there are a lot of body sprays with Lavender and chamomile (Avon has a great one) There is also a sleep tea by celestial teas that is very neat for relaxing and sleeping, I recomend it.(It has chamomile tilia estrella and valerian) Put soothing music on sleep to mask the other noises you have no control over and that will be relaxing to you too. Chimes do a great job of blocking loud neighbors. If all fails use tylenol p.m and go to sleep. Good luck!

Classic low music can help. I remember reading on a book one can not change the noises or the outside of home but one can change our home and what one hears :) I hope they help :D

Hi there millertime247! Stress can cause some sleeping problems. I think that you need time off from your busy schedule. There are times when I am really stressed out and I would sleep like a log. But there are also instances when no matter how tired I am, I can't sleep immediately or I can't sleep at all. A friend of mine who is also a doctor told me that stress causes my trouble sleeping.

Try a Warm bath or Shower once You get home from work..it will help you relax and wind down some! I tend to work late too,and can spend a few hours here online before feeling sleepy enough for bed! Some people mentioned warm milk drinks..milk has something (tryptophin?) that will aid sleep..also,it's not good trying to sleep on an empty stomach!

You should not try to sleep right from getting back to work. Sit or relax for a while and drink milk. A warm cup of milk is good for your body as it will relax your muscles. Babies are not the only ones that drink milk ;O) Once in a while try to get a massage and this will be best for relieving tension and will help you go to sleep. I recommend Thai massage if it is available in your area.
