First of all, I'll have to disagree with glay22(sorry). If you a higher budget don't splash it on a MacBook. MacBook is more style over substance. I've got a MacBook Pro and although I like it alot, I do sometimes wish that I had gotten a HP instead, with almost similar specifications but at a much lower cost. And even with Intel processor and BootCamp, MacBooks don't really work too well with Windows. For example, fan speed is stuck at 1000rpm in windows mode which is slow and means that normal running temperature for a MacBook is around 40C. Play games and 60-70C is not hard to achieve. In fact 90C is not unheard of. If i could buy a laptop again, I will consider HP, Asus and MSI for its specifications and price. Don't go for Sony Vaio if price is of concern because Sony is quite overpriced compared to other brands with similar specs. Part of the price is because of the brand and I don't feel that it is worth payin for. Since you mentioned finger print recognition, i'll like to point out that its still relatively new and apparently there have been people who have been locked out of their com because they had a cut and the computer was not able to recognise the thumbprint. I agree with glay22 to one with face recognition if safety features are your top priorities. Although it is also in its infancy and not very accurate requiring several shots before access is allowed, at least you'll be last likely to be locked out because of a simple cut. Happy laptop shopping and I hope you'll like the laptop you eventually choose! =)

hi, i just got my new laptop a week ago, the brand is toshiba satellite notebook, it is wi-fi ready, 3 GIG memory and it is really awesome. I got it for around 800 bucks.. if you can afford a little more expensive, then try to get a macbook, it costs around 1200 bucks. you can buy online or from a gadget store. just watch out if ever they would go on sale so you can buy it for a cheaper price :-)
