Don't you just love receiving a "Forward" in your email inbox? Especially the ones from "friends" that forward the same email to 10 dozen other addresses and they leave ALL the email addresses intact for EVERYONE to see? Wouldn't it be so much nicer to remove the address from the original sender then forwarding the email on using BCC (Blank Carbon Copy)? For those of you that don't know how BCC works. If you put all the addresses in this option, the emails won't show up for EVERYONE to see! How nifty is that??? lol OR, you can always copy and paste the email to remove the sender(s) email addresses, then BCC to all of your family and friends. My teenage son brought this subject up to me this weekend. He said he just loves to receive these emails with EVERYONE's address attached because he has received email addresses that he didn't know and of people he didn't particularly like. I know of one person that received an address in her inbox this way and she hated one of the recipients. Well, I won't tell you what she did with that address, but let's just say it wasn't nice. Not to mention if your address gets placed in someone else's address book you are subject to spam from this person. So, how annoying is this to you? Are you considerate when forwarding on emails or do you violate others by leaving the address intact and sharing everyone's email address?

When I get forwarded emails from other people I find it really annoying when you have to scroll down past lots of email addresses before you get the to the body of the email. When I get these and forward them on I always go back and delete all of the old email information. I do it partially to make it easier to read but also as the emails are often of people I don't know and my friends don't know. When I send bulk emails to my friends I do not blind copy any of them as they all know each other anyway. Even if I did add someone in that they don't know or like I don't think my friends would pay particular notice.

Hi Dagda! I find it annoying to have to scroll down also. When everyone knows one another as in your case of family, that's is a bit different. Sometimes people send to everyone in their address book. I have gotten emails from people that I don't even know because they have replied to the sender and hit the "Reply All" and the email has went out to everyone that particular email was sent too. I have read some pretty personal emails from a friend of a friend this way and I think they must be making some mistake in hitting the "Reply All" button. Oops! LOL Thank you for sharing!

I must say this is the worthy mylot discussion to respond on ! now thats what good people are all aboout on mylot You are absolutely right, it not only violates the privacy but puts it on risk too. Many people would just do anything just using an Email address, Next could be your own son, girlfriend, boyfriend or even husband./ wife? this is really a matter to think I would pass this to my girlfriend Thanks i never thought about this seriously!

Thank you, Rocker! Yes, a lot can be found out from someone's email address. A name that may be attached can be searched and who knows what else? Not that it will happen, but with the way the world is and there are strange happenings everywhere, well, we just don't know, do we? Thanks for passing this info on to your loved ones :) It really is a violation of privacy to others.

Hi, i receive some forward from my friends sometimes, it is one of the ways that spam is created, because they give your email address to a lot of people! I try not to send those type of messages!

Hi Almae! Yes, that is another problem if your email address happens to automatically go into the address book you are set up for spam. We get enough of that stuff already on our own! Thanks for responding!
