It's terrible, I 'm trying to convert to vegan and I buy a packet of raw organic cashew every week. The problem is when I start nibbling, I often eat them really fast and I don't fulfil my intention of spreading them out over the week - they disappear to fast. One day I almost got over eating cashews because I think I ate too many, but now my next packet has arrived and I just had a little bowl of them and I am worried I will have another little bowl of them. I would buy more but they are very expensive, so I would like them to last longer buy my willpower isn't strong enough. Do you have this problem with cashews or can you resist them?

For me it is Almonds. I'm nuts over them (no pun intended). They are so expensive, though. If I happen to have cashews I will eat them just as vigorously.

I buy organic almonds to and make raw vanilla almond milk with them, then use the beaten almonds form the milk to make a pate. yummy - yes I think they even cost more than the cashews!

I don't like them plain though, They must be roasted and salted. What is a pate?

Mmmm. Sounds interesting. I'll have to make it a point to look for some here in the states. Thanks

Yes I like them too and I buy them even though they are expensive simply because they keep my body working in a regular way and as i figure it , it is a better way than some of the alternatives...

You seem to have this problem of finding food that you like irresistable.Even me sometimes feel the same way.I eat up roasted groundnuts, wafers and other such savoury snacks in a jiffy as I find them lip smacking.I think it is because of the spicy and tangy taste.I think you can avoid it only if you exercise your willpower and control your diet.

Thankyou nihil_sun. You bring up many good points. Mind you it is probably better I be eat the cashews that the packets of savoury biscuits from the supermarket full of white flour, salt and chemicals! I will try to control my will power now.
