I have asthma and I use Advair everyday to keep the condition at bay. Does anyone else have Asthma? If so, are you taking medication for it?

Hi Jerryn, I had asthma when I was very young.About 15 years back a local ayurvedic doctor has given some herbal medication which I had daily for almost 6 months. After that I am 90% cured. As of today I dont take any medication, and it does not get violent as long as I dont overdo things.

Thanks for participating in my discussion. It's good the herbal medcation prevailed and you no longer have to take any meds. It's encouraging to know there could be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Asthma only means wheezing from allergies. Advair has MANY side effects and all 3 of my children have asthma, but I would not let them use that. (Look that up online on your "search." They have seen a natural MD that only prescribes herbs and homeopathy. They do great on it and I suggest that to you! They were in the hospital wiht breathing problems all the time. After only a year..they are almost systom free now for the last 15 years! (On their natural meds!) If you are in the US..check out PAAM.net and find an MD. They are REAL MD's and specialize later in the natural meds and your insurance will pay! (These are prescription natural meds, approved by the FDA, also.) You'll be glad you did!

Thanks for responding and sharing the PAAM.net info. I will check out the site soon. I didn't have asthma as a child, it was discovered a few years ago while I was in surgery. My doctor stopped the surgery because I had respitory spasms. This was in 2'06 and then the same thing happened during another surgery. Advair is quite expensive even with my insurance. I will be discussing the PAAM thing with my doctor as well. I appreciate the info you've shared and I'm pleased that your kids are doing well. May the Lord shower many blessings upon you and your family.

I have asthma too. I take inhalers pulmicort, I have a breathing machine, sometimes are not bad as others. When I have a cold or I am stress that really activates my asthma.
