Tropical storm Fay is expected to hit Jacksonville, albeit by the backdoor lol. Unfortunatly we are in the backdoor of Jacksonville. She is supposed to go up the gulf then over land and hit us. She is supposed to move up to a catagory 1 hurricane also. So we are getting flashlights found, water stored up, and getting settled in to ride it out.

Is this Jacksonville, Florida? My brother in law lives there. I know there's always a hurricane there.

Well actually we really never get direct hits. There are always huricanes in FL yes but mainly in the Keys, Southern Florida and the Gulf. We usually only get rain and wind but not hurricane winds. Yes Jacksonville FL. We live far inland.

I heard this on the news. You stay safe. I will be thinking of you. I worry about my daughter and her family when the huricanes hit the Carolinas. Scary stuff for sure

It will be no more than a heavy rainstorm by the time it gets there. It is suppose to be a weak category 1 when it makes land fall on the gulf coast. When it makes it ashore it will be a tropical storm. The only worry you should have is tornadoes. We are not far from Orlando. We have the minimal supplies but arent very worried about it. We were a direct hit on all 3 storms,Charlie, Francis, and Jean, in 2004.
