car, a new member?

i come up with this discussion due to a certain family (his wife told me about this)whose husband had the habit of always spending his time around with his car..every single day he wipes(dusting) it and checking every minor streaks of mud or even checking the interior or the machine itself..and he did it everyday even before he goes to sleep at night..never missing a single day of his life...and been wondering too on myself is the husband a neat freak or just been treating his car as a new member of his family...is it normal to go beyond the usual treatment of a car? or maybe its one way of maintaining it..? what about you guys how do you treat your car? or even to those who dont... have any opinion?

It's a guy thing! My son is the same way.....and if his wife get the car dirty well he gets really upset. The weekend I spent with my family my nephew brought two jet skiies.....well when someone wasn't riding them he would be out there in the lake washing them off! IN THE LAKE! That's more then I would want to do!

washing in the lake is not costly compared to others(station)

Hello vanities,
I think he is just too much *smiles* I took a good care of my cars before but not anymore. I am getting lazy and lazy and sometimes, I only send the car to a car wash after a month or two. My husband too, is not a great fan of maintaining a super clean car! That is my responsibilities.

I have known a few people like that. Not many, but a few. THeir car is the most important thing above even family.
For some the car is their display of status, their self confidence and their pride instead of just a means of transportation.
Hubby is always a bit more careful with his car when it's new. After a while he gets back to normal. But that is understandable.
I'm sure that husband is not exactly a neat freak or else instead of only the car he would be cleaning up everything else LOL

If I am the wife or kids of that man, then I will feel jealous.lol
I also have some friends doing this kind of maintenance, even the small stones on the tires, he love to remove it everyday. Before we go out from the parking area, he is always cleaning his car, but I'm not sure his doing before sleep.
Yeah, it is normal and many people doing such things.
They have a good relationship with their cars, unlike me, wherein I can only do a one time per week cleaning and maintenance for my car.
Especially if I can feel that there is rain coming within the day, then I will not remove the dust on my car, it will then be washed.lol.
We'll, once a week only for me.
