Nutmeg - what do you use it for?

I love sprinkling nutmeg on my drinks - if i make an almond chocolate smoothy I like to sprinkle nutmeg on it. When I do indulge in coffee (trying to cut down) I love to sprinkle nutmeg on that too.

Put on rice pudding before cooking it. In larger quantities than it is normally used, Nutmeg is psychoactive and hepatoxic. all the best urban

Hi vegegirl. Personally I have never used nutmeg but I know my Uncle used to sprinkle it on top of rice pudding. I think I have had it on top of egg custard as well or maybe thats cinnamon?

Thanks donna that all sounds very nice. You probably had the nutmeg on the egg custard, but cinnamon could be nice as well , they might even be nice together! You should give it a go one time if you get the chance, a nice taste without all the calories that sugar has!

Gee is that why I always feel sleepy! I thought it was meant to make me energetic or something - is that the psychoactive ingredient? Do you eat your sweets before you go to bed? Thanks Sumiirajj.
