Do you find it annoying that people text during movies? I have a friend who is constantly texting during movies. The only time she doesn't text is when she is sleeping.

I can't stand going to the movie theater when there are little kids there. And they are all on their phones texting and gabbing away. Do you really think it is a necessary for you to come to the theater and text and chat away? I think not. I haven't been to the movies in such a long time and to be honest this is one of the reasons why I won't go. If I did I would actually take the phone and smash it. Take that one. One for me zero for you.

I agree although I know that some cinemas have a Faraday cage or something similar whihc prevents people being able to use their mobile in it. this though doesn't stop the annoying light from the phone that can be distracting

It's crazy...why go to a movie if you're going to text the whole time? How can you pay attention to or enjoy the movie? Some people are just addicted to it I think. :-)

Yeah... I find it annoying especially if most of the time is spent texting (wasting money on the movie.) I only text once in a while when it's really important but for most of the time, I try not to text when I'm watching because I want to put my attention on the movie itself and not on my phone.

I try not to text when I'm watching a movie either. If someone happens to text me when I'm watching a movie I usually tell them I'll talk to them in a bit.. i'm sorta busy lol

yes, it is very distracting to try to watch a movie, you glance over to someone and they are texting. if they didn't want to watch the movie.. they should've said something.

OMG! I find it terribly annoying. I used to have a bf who likes date me and asked me to watch movie. Next thing i know, if hes not toying my hair, hes texting or sleeping! Worse date! LOL But i got caught up once too, when i had my phone with me inside the cinema and it was a suspense movie. And then 'BEEP BEEP!' my ringing tone screams! LOL I was so red in the face. I did put it off, little knowing that there was an emergency back home. I felt so bad right after. Just make it sure when you bring your phone, at least put your ringing tone to silent mode and enable your vibration. At least you can still accept call when theres emergency.

I agree with you 100% especially if you're watching a movie in a cinema. I work in a cinema and I find it really annoying when I'm checking the cinema and I find someone is texting during the film or even worse responds to a phone call and disturbes the people around him.Once it happened and I asked nicely to the client to switch off her mobile and told her that she is disturbing the ppl behind her.Promptly she responded in an arrogant way that I was disturbing the people when I asked her to switch off her mobile. It is really nerve-wrecking to have ppl beside you text or respond to a call during a film cause s/he distracts your interest in the film.
