How would you find an old friend?

I'd like to get in contact with some old friends I haven't spoken to in awhile, but I'm having a hard time tracking them down. They're girls of course, so they could have gotten married and changed their names, like I have. I've searched on Myspace and Facebook, but couldn't find them. I also can't find them in the phone book, most likely because they have cell phones instead of home phones as so many people do these days. So how do you get in touch with long lost friends?

Try reunion.com or classmates.com where people also give their maiden names. Peoplefinder or something like that might give you an idea, even without paying for the service. You can contact other people you used to know and have information on, something like shared friends from the past, parents, grandparents, other relatives. Somebody is bound to provide some information.

Sounds like you've taken most of the avenues of finding the old friends. Have you contacted some other people you knew at the time? Perhaps one of them might could help you find your old friends. Cell phones and no landline makes it hard to find someone now, for sure.

I don't know any of the other people she knew, except her ex boyfriend who hasn't spoken to her since either. Just not sure. Guess if I'm meant to find her, I will run into her at some point.

try joining classmates.com and reunion.com. I had luck with classmates and facebook! My friend found her daughter on myspace after 31 years. She gave up for adoption because she was only 16 when she had her, had lots of problems then too, and didn't believe in abortion.

We share the same problem.I'm having a heard time looking for their names in case they got married too.Followed advices from your friends to search old friends in classmates.com,reunions.com but could not find even one.I wonder how can we really get in touch with old friends. My daughter jokingly commented maybe my classmates are not interested in computers that's why I have not searched for anyone of them.Any suggestions from your respondents will be taken seriously.
