i just moved here and im all alone

i came to waterloo all alone i am 23 years of age i was living in a small community in iowa however i am currently from the south i do not know very many folks i do not have a job at this time but i am taking g.e.d classes however there isnt very many folks that attend actually just 1 or 2 and they seem to be much older than myself so in the meantime i just want to know how to go about meeting folks in a positive way????

I have to agree with the others! Joining a church is a wonderful way to make friends. We attend Heartland Vineyard Church in Cedar Falls Ia, which is very close to Waterloo. I think you would like the relaxed atmosphere there. Good luck to you!

you are very young, your whole life is ahaead of you. in these past 5 months itself you would have got to know more people. just post your present status please.

How about joining a church? Maybe, go running in the park every morning. Get a part time job. Take a class at the local junior college; you don't need a GED to do that. When you meet people, ask if they know others your age to introduce you to. There might be a singles club in your town, also.
