Do you eat a food even after the expiry date just because it is your favourite?

I'm very conscious about the health issues. So I throw away food or any packs that crosses the expiry date. But I have heard from my neighbour that she uses some foods in a day or two even after the expiry date. How about you? Do you try the food or other cooking packs even after the expiry date if it was your favourite item? Or do you throw it away, without any second thought?

Yes, I need to coz its not good anymore for our health, manufacturers used to indicate expiration date for us to be aware untill when is the products is in good condition to consume, we're not sure what will happen after consuming that expired food, it is ok if nothing happens but what if it causes you poisoning? you'll regret after that but the thing there is will you permit it to happen where in it can be avoided. If that food is your favorate then just buy a new one, and you can eat that withouit any worries..

Yes, that is the safest way to relish the favourite kind of foods.

Hi there smilyn! I am very conscious when it comes to expiry date whether it is on food or cosmetics. When I buy food, I already check the expiration date. If I do not have intentions of consuming the food within the expiration date indicated on the item, I will not buy it. I think that there was one time when I ate a chocolate bar that was about 3 days expired. The chocolate tasted fine and a friend of mine who works at the Hershey Company told me that for as long as there are no molds, it would be just fine. But I just did that once.

yes, as far as the food does not harm us, it is ok..But still just think how riskier it is to use after the date. Some products can cause infection and also vomitting because of food poisoning. As you have said it is riskier with cosmetics too.
