distorted body image

I thought I was suffering from body dysmorphic disorder, but after reading the Wikipedia on this, I guess I am not.

What is it called when you look in the mirror and see what is not really there? When I look in the mirror, I see myself as much fatter than I really am. I have to avoid looking in the mirror on the way in and out of the shower so I don't get all depressed and crabby.
I know that I am overweight, but just not as overweight as it looks to me in the mirror.

You remind me of that movie about the guy whose girlfriend was enormous but he saw her as perfectly proportioned even as those around him saw her a very overweight.
I wonder if it is considered a disorder when people look in the mirror and see themselves as skinnier than they are. Some must or they wouldn't go out in clothing 5 sizes too small. Eh?
