Honesty hurts everyone. I tell the the truth everyday to everybody. Honesty may hurt someone, but I don't really care if it does. At least you know and understand how I feel. I love being honest. You get to see who can handle the truth.

"Honesty is the best policy" is an old saying. All my life,my dad has been my role model.I admire his honesty and dedication towards his work.He used to work in a tax department, but he is retired now.The department in which he used to work was so corrupt. My dad never got promotion that he deserve until even his retirement because he was too honest with his work.He never approach any higher authorities nor beg for his promotion. He believes in being truthful. This is my dad's story about his part of being honest to his job.As for me,even I follow the same policy in life.I better tell the truth, than be dishonest.Sometimes in some situations,it may also hurt oneself or the person concern. We may try to do good for somebody and might end up hurting. When we are honest and truthful, there is nothing that could beat us or we should be scared of.

I totally concur. I think I will get that quote tattooed. It should be a policy that everyone should uphold. I thank you for sharing your dad's story, as well as yours. I have much respect for you and your pops.

Honesty hurts when it is told bluntly, but same thing when explained in a polite manner that does not hurt but opens other persons eyes. It is good to be honest but that does not give us right to be rude. One can be honest but polite at the same time that is how I feel.
