this never cease to amaze me. but there is an exception to this - i think - and that is when we encounter a new word. we tend to read each leader. :D

no that's not what i meant. i have also read this easily without a flaw. what i am saying is when we are introduced to a new word which is definitely hard to pronounce, we tend to read each letter.

Hi Sharay, it's easy once you get the hang of it. The first and last letter of the word are not changed, only the rest of the letters within the word. Our minds record the words, recognising it by that logic!

yes...if the start and end letter of a word is in the right place, we are able to understand them even if the letters in the middle are shuffled

Yes this very interesting study, the results also went on to show a percentage of how many people could, or could not read the passage, I forget what is was, but it was thought to be very low for people who red with ease, and that they had an added skill to there brain. Do you have the results to hand. Regards Khunben, and Buddha Be With You

I received this in my cellphone 2 years ago thru a text message and I even posted it in my personal website for several months and I received good comments. Whoever started this study, its really amazing to know how good or dumb people are when it comes to reading:)

I'm glad that you could understand what you are reading! You just give us a little work out to read your discussion! why din't you try to mix up a little bit with the word "THE" like these " EHT" . And yes spelling would be important.

i think having a few words (like the, can) right is necsry in some place in order to understand the rest of the words...
