Ok, I want some opinions about this switch. I have 2 CPUs, one just arrived last week. I've been having problems with my Dell, because even though having a 200gb SATA drive and a 2.4Ghz Pentium 4 processor, the main thing is that the graphics is built-in and the RAM went from 512mb to 256mb because the old one is broken and I can't afford one with bigger capacity so I ended up with 256mb.
The thing about the new CPU is that it's an old issue of Compaq, only having a Pentium 4 2.0Ghz and 60gb hard drive with no SATA ports, so I can't backup-reformat-transfer-restore, not to mention SDRAM slots, not compatible with DDR on my Dell, so whatever memory it has I cannot transfer to Dell. Actually, that's the good thing about the compaq, it has 768mb of RAM, and the graphics card is not built it.
So to sum it up:
Specs for Dell
HDD:200gb SATA 7200rpm
CPU:P4 2.4Ghz
RAM:256mb
Graphics:Built in Intel
Specs for Compaq
HDD:60gb ATA 7200rpm
CPU:P42.0Ghz
RAM:768mb
Graphics: AGP slot, no idea what brand.
So what should I use? Note that both systems are form-factor, so expansions and upgrades are not an option when it comes to video. I don't have an idea where the Compaq got the graphics card.
Thanks to those who'll respond with sincerity. Woo.
