ities I've tried for. Applied for a position at the new Target coming into our nearest city. Got an email yestereday saying that I didn't get the job. Haven't been any other openings here. Put one ad a week into the newspaper indicating my interest in tutoring. Will focus on Home Schooling consulting in my next one. I've put two in so far. Will put my email address in the next one, too. Friend called up, she wants me to make and sell soaps with her. Many have started something similar and had to give up, up here, so not sure how this will turn out, but will give it a shot. Working in my garden with tame plants and checking out the wild plants to see if there is anything valuable. Reminds me, have to call our local cooperative extention to see if there are any plant brokers. Tried the internet, lists weren't current and most weren't local. Spending a lot on gas or UPS doesn''t make for a profit. Thinking about getting a P. O. Box and having people send samples of their handwriting to me so I can do handwriting analysis. I think a P. O. Box would be less dangerous. Finding change everywhere, counting it, rolling it, and will check to see how much a P. O. Box costs as soon as I have some money for one. Just contacted VESID and told them to reopen my case so they can help me find a job. It's office of Vocational and Educational something or other and then it has to do with for people with disabilities. I'm not getting anywhere on my own. Watching craft shows and the like. Love Junky to Funky, Caroll Duvall, and some of Martha Stewart's stuff. Hoping something will look like a cheap craft I can do. Formulating other ideas in my head, esp. figuring out some ideas that might be able to sell involving milkweed and soapwort. Trying to figure out ways to pay my bills. So I've been very busy. I'm busier not employed than I am when I am employed. Any encouragement or comments to help further me along on any of the above would be fine. I think I will only post one discussion today since I have so many of my friends to catch up on.

Have you tried tutoring online? The pay tends to start on par with what a lower-end offline job would offer, but you get to set your own hours and get to skip the costs associated with transportation and office attire.

That sounds interesting. How would I go about doing that?

Tutoring is a good idea this time of year when kids are going back to school. Most homeschool positions at least in this state require a teaching degree. What about working for alocal newspaper or substitute teaching? It is kind of hard when you live in a rural area unless you are willing to commute. I am working alot online. If you are persistent you can do ok, but you have to be willing to work at it.

Hi writersedge. I can't think of a single thing you aren't doing in this exhaustive job search! It is very impressive the way you keep at it. I think your contacting VESID was really smart because that's just more job-seeking resources at your disposal. Thanks for keeping us posted on your progress.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Sometimes VESID is more of a help than others. I always learn something from them if nothing else. I live between two areas, so I can choose my job coach (don't think I'm supposed to, but one wanted to get into a fight with me, so I asked for a different one who couldn't see why the other person had such a problem with me). I'm exploring all my possibilities and hopefully something will come up soon. Thanks and take care
