I want to have a pet - a tortoise.

Thanks for your response friend. You have just put my dream in words. I have a dream that I will make a small pond. I will keep fishes, tortoise and few ducks in it. There will be a mango tree nearby and I will tell my old parents and inlaws to sit under that tree and see the ducks. In order to fulfill my crazy idea, I would have to return back to India. My hubby tells me that instead of such a long description, I should say that I want a zoo. Well may be ....but thats my dream. I wanted a pet with whom I can travel when I go to different countries. But I am afraid that if I travel with a tortoise, I may be arrested, on the suspicion of smuggling. I tried in the pet shop, but a tortoise is not so common. More over I want a small one. So I am trying to gather all the information possible and hope one day my dream would be fulfilled. I wish that your dream of having pets be fulfilled too. May you have five cats and a pool with goldfish, turtle and ducks. Good luck :)

Why don't you try keeping a dog of small breed? Like a poodle or something? They are cute and you can travel with them. You can't travel with cats, birds, or turtles. Difficult to manage, but you can train a small dog easily. Dogs are such darlings, and you won't regret. :) Yup, you come back to India. No place like home sweet home. I have an uncle in Germany who thinks I am good for nothing. LOL ... He lives in Ludwigshafen. Know the place? Cheers!
