I went yesterday. It was so much fun.We saw Saudi Arabia play Canada,Guam play Curiso and then the last game of the night was MidAtlantic and SouthWestern. It was a great game but in the end MidAtlantic got booted out :( It was so werid seeing little kids out on a nice feild like that and everything. There were so manny people there and the stuff was so cheap. It was a lot of fun. I went with my boyfriend and his dad and his dads friend. I had a blast. It was great seeing all the little kids sliding down the hill on a cardboard box and stuff it was adorable. I will def. Want to go next year. It was great. Has anyone else been there??

I'd love to be able to watch a game at the Little League World Series. It looks like such a fun atmosphere to watch a game. I've never been but I usually watch as many games as I can on ESPN. In fact, I'm watching Japan vs. Curacao right now. One of the major reasons I like to watch is that it reminds me of my Little League days. These kids are always glaringly better than we ever were though.

Ain't it the truth!! Our best, back in the late 50's, early 60's couldn't even compete with the worst of today's kids. I'll never agree with a 12 year old throwing a curve or slider...I'm 57 years old and if I have to turn a doorknob counterclockwise, it still sends a jolt thru my right elbow. I'd hate to see these kids go rag-armed before they get out of the gate.

Yes...I went 30 years ago and I'll never forget how impressed I was at the class the kids showed in victory or defeat. It's a lesson the pros should take to heart. I've since left PA and moved to CA, but 3 weeks ago my son and I were driving cross country and I took him to the ballpark in Williamsport. They were putting the finishing touches on it preparing for the World Series. It's even more beautiful than in '78. I've been following it on ESPN and it's baseball played for the love of the game. That's impressive. The only thing that makes me cringe is when these 12 year old pitchers let loose a curve ball...at that age they shouldnt be throwing stuff, it rips up their 12 year old arms. I had to abandon pitching and play second base due to the damage throwing a curve caused my adolescent right arm. Anyway...here's hoping for a hard fought series, no matter who wins.

It is crazy seeing these kids throwing all the junk. I was watching yesterday and they said this kid had 5 different pitches! I pitched when I was in Little League and I had a grand total of 1 pitch. It was the good ol' muckle onto the ball and throw it down the middle. This could be a major reason why teams from our area never made it far into the playoffs. It does seem to be too much strain to be putting on a little kid but when it comes to making the series, some of these kids are such good hitters that to compete you gotta be able to throw some trickery at them.
