I' d do the same too...cause the more you help them, the more you tolerate their wrong doing...if they're healthy why wont they work and strive hard just like what others and us do...we have lots of beggars in our country too...that it annoys me sometimes cause they make a business out of other peoples sympathy and that is just not fair, right?

I don't know why a young woman of 20 would be begging. It might be because she can't find a job? I don't see how begging is an easy job as some have responded. The person begging probable gets a lot of verbal and maybe even get spit on or even beat up as well as a lot of rejection. It has to be humiliating to have to beg for money for food. I don't like to see people having to beg but a lot of people have lost their homes and jobs. Now I'm not saying that you should give them any thing just saying that we don't really know why they are begging.

i really dont givemoney to beggars wether they are old or young what i do is i give them foods or even accompany them in store and i will ask them what they would like to eat...coz i am not sure if ever i will give 'em money will they really buy food or somethng else...and sometimes if i have luxury of time i spend time with them chit chatting with them about life in general...

Hi friend 1stly, you don't know why that 20 years old lady is begging. May be she wanted to do something and she found she had to compromise with her modesty, so she left and decided to beg. Well, it's just a possibility. May be you right that begging is an easy way to earn money. But who doesn't beg? Most of us who are earning well, do beg to the God in the name of prayer. yes, some of us don't pray or even if they pray they don't ask anything from god. But still........!!!

i think begging has somewhat became a lucrative business to other people, be it for people dress neatly asking for donations house to house its just the same-- the modern way of begging soliciting funds for unknown charitable institutions or begging in tattered clothes...we share the same sentiments i dont give to these people. there are people that is more handicapped than they but they manage to come up with a decent living...the scripture says ,"if you dont like to work then dont eat."

most of the comments on this so far have been very negative till now.have any of you any idea as to why those people are begging any idea as to the mental health any idea as to why they do not have jobs.most are homeless for a number of reasons some i agree do take the pi*s but the vast majority do have a genuine reason very few people take time out to ask these questions. i have met and got to know a lot of so called beggars over the years and listening to the horrors some have been through it makes me glad for what little i have.we have recently had a tv series here in the uk where millionaires have taken to the streets to live the life of those people.all the millionaires went in with the same preconcieved ideas being shown here but after the 10/14 days they spent begging and living in the same shoes they all said it was a life changing experience.never more would the view those who were on the streets in the same light and have made steps to change thier attitude to wards them. as a wiser man than me onec said walk a mile in my shoes.meaning live my life before you condemn my life.

Bravo ~ finally someone who is not willing to judge a life they haven't lived... I tend to be more sympathetic to someone who ~ for any number of reasons may find themselves out begging... I can't imagine that it's as easy a thing to do as many here seem to believe ~ nor would I consider it my place to make assumptions about why someone may be begging ~ regardless of their age or apparent physical health... Life can toss some quite unexpected challenges at us and I couldn't possibly know what those may be for anyone I may encounter ~ So yeah ~ if I'm able to help a bit, I do ~ be it some small cash or food ~ and I've never regretted it...
