Do you own the same cellphone that you bought first or have changed it?

I do not use my cellphone a lot. I never care about latest models and updated features. Also my cellphone would be slim and stylish. So I have the cellphone that I bought first. I never changed it. I have heard about technology geeks who changed their cellphones according to latest trends and fashion. How about you? Do you own the same celphone that you bought first or you changed the model?

My cellphone before was a nokia model. And I can say that it is a reliable cellphone for me. I am not into high tech ones because I just use the cellphone mainly for incoming, outgoing calls, and text messaging. When my nokia phone fell on the ground and damaged its LCD, that was the time I purchased a new one.

Yes, you are like me. And this is the first time I'm hearing that Nokia got damaged because it fell down. I had been told that Nokia is the only reliable brand and escapes damage when falling down.

I own the same cell phone It would be a pain to constantly go out and buy a new one each time the fashion trends changed.

I had changed it few times and once my cell phone got lost too. I gave my cell phones to others and lastly I exchanged it for Nokia N95 and it is going well and it has good features and I plan no more changes in near future. Moreover whenever I buy any new cell I do take this same decision as no more new phones but when I see new features I just want to experience that too and moreover my phone cost is bared by my organisation that is the most advantage I make use of.

If your organisation pays, then there could be no problem with updating a cellphone. Hope you will not change your present phone for atleast 3 years?

I've only bought 2 cellphones in my whole life and have 2 because the 1st one stopped working properly and the second one gives better service. Just like you I've never seen the need to keep updating styles and models in cellphones. Besides, in Trinidad they sell for such high prices its shocking ! Two, three and four thousand dollars for a cellphone ! Not me and this expensive kind of style shopping.

They seem to be very costlier. I don't think cellphones needs to be updated with trends for such a high cost..

I have owned four cellphones if I remember correctly. I enjoying using it for its convenience and mobility especially during big emergencies. But more importantly, I think that it helps me stay connected with friends and family. I wouldn't call an old friend just to say hello, but I don't mind sending a short text message. Anyway, I take care of my things and I'm not one of those who want to replace their cellphones a lot.

I just recerntly got an ew one when I signed up for a new cell carrier and it is the Blackberry Pearl. I looove it. So hopefulyl I won't break it anytime soon though i'm sad to say it does have some scratches already! ;-(

I'm with you! My cell is about 5 years old, it was my first and only cell. I am not on and refuse to be on a monthly plan. I have a $20 phone card automatically added to my phone each month so that I don't lose my previous purchased minutes. The last I checked a couple of months ago I had about $120 worth of minutes accumulated on it because I never use it. I have to have it just in case, I go for walks with my kids while my husband is at work and for safety's sake he wants me to have a phone with me. But it is not uncommon for me to go weeks at a time without using it once. It does not "flip" open, it does not have a camera, it is just a plain non-colored screen. I even just recently found out that it does do text, I had no idea it did that and don't have a clue how to text. I know my way around a computer, but have no desire to learn the ins and outs of these fancy phones these days LOL, I can't stand talking on the phone anyway!

You are right..As far as the cellphone does the same job, it is not necessary to have an updated model. I hope you will be having a great research on the features of your cellphone. Have great fun with your kids.

I do not have the same phone that I first bought. I guess I am one of those technology geeks that you consider that have to have the latest trends and fashion. However you are totally wrong by that as I have to upgrade my phone every year because of normal ware and tare on the phone itself. I use my phone alot so that is why I need to change my phone every year as the phone usually conks out or something. Whether it be water damage, doesn't keep charge or something like that. With that happening you have to upgrade the phone as well.

Yes, some people like you have more usage of cellphones. In that case, it is important to buy a cell phone often as the phone may get damaged or loose its efficiency.

The first phone that I had was bought in 2004 I have never changed it for the past four years but too bad it was a good phone but it just stopped functioning one day. I love how it shines so bright when it's dark and how simple it is to operate. I have a new phone now and hopefully it would last longer than my previous phone.

I don't use it anymore, I lost 3 cellphones already. When I used to work in a very dynamic and high-paying job, I wanted to have the latest gadget like anyone else. I bought a really nice phone but have lost it after 3 months. Then I realized, I shouldn't have been so trendy. After that I become contented to a simple phone with not so many features but sure won't be attractive to thiefs.

I have it but I don't use it I changed because the first one was a big size Nokia I forgot the model, but my purse was heavy to carry so I thought maybe the cell phone was to big so I updated and got a smaller one, I don't use it often I just use it for emergencies mostly, I have never used all my minuets . They don't roll over either.

sony ericsson z610i - sony ericsson z610i in rose pink
currently i am using sony ericsson z610i. my first phone was a nokia 8210 which i got in 1999. since then i've changed/had like 4 phones only. now..i'd rather spend my money on something else, so i'll just stick with my current phone for the time being

i lost my first cellphone at school. i already had 4 cellphones. of course i really want to have the latest models but for now i can't afford it. but im now content with the cellphone i have now. it's ericsson k800i. it is a cybershot and have fm radio station. that's what im really after for cellphones. for me its not really a big thing to have the latest model.as long as i can used it for text, call, and i can listen to music. it's fine with me.

You sound like me. I only use about 180 minutes a month. So I dont worry about the latest and greatest. In fact I still have my free phone that I got when I first signed up for service.
