All nutrition is food but all food is not nutrition. How true is this statement?? I agree with the above statement. As even mcdonalds is food but in actual terms that does not have nutrition value to it. Even whne cooking lot of vegetables are deep fried or boiled by which the vegetable looses their nutrional value.

Hello,Mavuri! You are absolutely right. All foods are not nutritious. The processed foods like white sugar, white flour, cookies, ready made meals and breads are not nutritional.these not only slow down our body's metabolic rate but also make us feel tired and lethargic.for example white bread is made of wheat flour from which bran has been removed.this means that it has a low nutritional value and is also low in dietary fiber.when digesting whits bread our burns very low calories. It also causes our blood sugar levels to rise.On the other hand whole wheat bread is harder to digest,so our body burns more calories. It has also greater nutritional value as bran is not removed.so from nutritional aspects nothing can replace the freshly cooked balanced wholesome meals.thanx.

hi hbm...i used to not understand when they said junk food is not real food. i would argue and say yes it is because it would fill me up. but i now realize real food is what your body needs for fuel, developement, and maintainence and healing. you are right. nutrition and food aren't always the same thing.
