Razor Blades aren't what they used to be.

Even though they have all the fancy, supposedly great new 4 and 5 blade razors, I find that they really or no better and perhaps are even worse than the one or two blade ones that used to be sold. I get at least as many if not more nicks and cuts from the new ones as before and they don't last as long even though they are very expensive. What has been other people's experience?

My grandson bought a 4 pack of Gillette Sensor 3 razors with 3 blades in July and is only on the third razor. He keep the blade in kids blowing bubbles that we got a quart for $1.00 at the dollar store. He really like them. He does shave every day too since he works with the public. This keeps the blade from rusting and working smooth. You might want to put you razors in this. Yes they are expensive but this make them last a long time.

Other than cutting yourself less, I don't think the original single and double blade disposables were all that special...multiple blades get clogged and useless long before the blades get dulled.
Personally, I stopped using them long ago. I use a beard trimmer when I want to clean up my look. Currently, I'm in a grow it out phase. No matter the shaving technique...even with electric razors...I develop shaving bumps that are very annoying. They tend to bleed when touched and can take a few days to go away. Anyone of African decent faces the same dilemma. They make these foul smelling products that you are supposed to spread on your face and then scrape off with a stick. I don't know about anyone else but that stuff doesn't work on me.

I'm not talking about the cheap disposable type razors but the expensive razors that take replacement blades that are supposed to last a long time but the ones these days with 4 or 5 built in blades just don't last as long as the the 1 or 2 blades ones did, I have had some that were no good the first time they were used; the quality control is just not what it used to be.
