I am involved in a forum about loseing weight . I changed my eating habbits ( diet is not a word I use often) I have lost a total of 70 lbs .. 21 of those lbs was with the guidence of my personal trainner. what alot of people don't relize is that counting calories is your best option. you can eat WHAT EVER you want as long as its within your calorie range. Once you relize you can do that you not only won't feel deprived but you will also get to have some of your fav snacks and foods .. I am eating 1815 calories per day .. lately I have been on a standstill with my weight not loseing not gaining .. I spoke to my trainner about it and she gave me another excersise to try .. if that does not work .. guess what.. she is going to increase my calories .. thats right increase them .. why? becouse 1) my body may be going into stave mode and not getting enough calories .. 2) I may need to increase my excersise ( by cardio ) .. I do keep a journal which each nite I plan out my snacks and meals for the next day .. Tomorrow I will post one of my fav recipies that is not only filling but VERY good .. Just my two cents

Thats wonderful. You were able to lose some pounds. It's hard to compute calorie intake every time you eat. I would go crazy by doing that. I admire your patience and will to do it. Because of busy schedules. I think the only way that could help me at least to trim down a few pounds is just to eat less, drink water first before meal, and right after a small portion of meal, drink another glass of water or a healthy fruit shake, could help a lot. I still have to go for eating some meat, I cannot live without eating meat. Even just a portion of it could help me a lot. Thanks for sharing your menu. I'll try to make one next weekend. I don't exercise often. I try to make a schedule for it.

keeping track of your calories is easier then you think.. if you take just 15 min a day to sit down and write out what you are going to eat .. after awhile it becomes second nature to you . Untill you track your calories, you will see and it is shocking how many you eat a day . I could not eat without planning out my menu, I use to think the same way as you untill I finally got it threw my head what needed to be done .. depending on what kind of meat you are eating you will be suprised how high in calories and fat it has in it.. I personally don't eat beef anymore ... I'll eat chicken.. fish .. turkey but not beef its way to high in calories and fat for my taste .. I got use to it and now I don't even miss it

Thanks for emphasizing it again. You make it sound possible. I sure would like to do it. I actually have a booklet that has calorie measures of the food. I will use it for reference. As I've said I will try it next weekend. And I think its a good start using the plan on the First Day of September. I'm not ready for now, I still have some meat and leftover foods. I have to consume them first. And start a new one next weekend.

I like the idea I was reading about the other day of really chewing your food for a lot longer time as this is supposed to trick the brain apparantly, and I have also heard of the fat burning types of food which a fella on TV said last week two glasses of apple cider vinegar a day, burns the fat away and as this is also a good blood thinner it is good for those who suffer headaches as well so there are other things one can do also...

With what I have learned you don't need to do anything like that . Health food stores do seel vinger pills which I think would be alot better tasting then drinking it LOL ..Vinger does burn fat, but if someone is going to lose weight to get healthy .. then they need to do it healthy.

Hey again! I have been dabbling with the Weight Watchers point plan over here! I am supposed to be getting like 1400 calories per day, with their plan. I have not been working out. Still having stomach pains. I am amazed that you are allowd to have 1815 in calories per day.. And your getting these awesome results! I am sitting here thinking. What do you do for one of your work outs? How often do you work out?

I use to be on weight watchers years ago it did not work for me .. I still think you may have to up your calories .. I use to eat alot less untill my trainner uped mine .. I belong to a gym. I take classes there and I also have a personal trainner .. I do cardio and weight trainning for toneing not to bulk up .. I have become a gym rat and I try to go at least 5 times a week . I never liked to excersised and I hate to sweat .. but once I saw the results I am getting I learned to love it .. I even have my son and husband going as well . If you don't like gyms you can buy yourself some excersise tapes from e bay they are real cheap there .. Richard simmons has a great old one called sweating to the oldies.. awsome tape .. if you can start off by doing that 3 x's a week I bet you will drop weight like mad :)

yes I use 1 cup of chili and a seving of brown rice not white .. keep in mind anything white as rice bread turns into sugar in your body .. when I make the chili I freeze it in protion sizes .. this way if I am in a rush or had a long day I always have a dinner in the frezzer I can take out and use :)

This recipe sounds very good. My husband is not big on eating beans. I like them though.. I wish I could get him to like other kinds besdies Kidney beans. So then 1 cup is a serving... is that with the rice or with out.. I mean do you use 1 cup chili. and then the rice also?
