...And I quote... I was looking across a review made by someone on a certain site and while I was reading it, I was thinking to myself "Huh??!" The introduction alone was all wrong saying that MyLot had about a million members. But what bothered me the most was the part where the writer said that MyLot is a scam because it only pays cents and that it was hard to cash out. As far as I know, if something was a scam, you would not be paid for something or worse, you shelled out money to become a member in but didn't get anything in return.
I know you can never please everybody but I just wish that people would actually look at things outside the box. Yes, people can actually make money from this site but we have to remember that we also need to manage our expectations. MyLot is a forum where a lot of people get to share new ideas and information and this is what I've always kept in mind. I just find it sad that there are people who think this place is nothing. What's worse is that with their negativity, they take other people down to their thinking even if they've never tried the site. 
Do you guys think that this place is a scam? If no, what are your reasons for staying then? I personally am happy and satisfied with this place. I've come to love this place necause I've met so many people. Spending time here is something I will never regret. This has and will always be a great site regardless of what some people say.

I really love this place. I never ever thought that we are not getting paid for our efforts. We are actually getting our problem solved, getting new ideas, new friends, interaction with people all over the world and some amount of money too. How can we say that it doesn't pay us when we get these much. Those people are just looking from outside. If the same person enters here he/she will love this site. I am sure about it. Happy mylotting.

I haven't reached payout yet.
But if that person wants a scam pay site I definitely can give him at least two.
As for paying cents, at least they are able to pay.
Why promise to pay big and then find out that you can't honor you obligation to pay.
As long as MyLot is honoring its obligation and paying why should we complain, we knew what it was when we joined.
I am still owed by those two sites I mentioned and I mean like in the hundreds of dollars. $275.00 and $200.
If I get $10.00 from MyLot. I am grateful they lived up to their promise.

Ouch Chevee... That much??? Whew. That's a lot of moolah (I can just imagine what I'd do with that much money. Lol. ) Have you made any moves to get your money? It's a good thing that the first site that I joined lived up to my expectation. That's MyLot.

I think people should learn the definition to a word, a scam is something that lies about what it is going to do, to get more money out of people that fall for it. Mylot is not as scam, because it does not promise instant payout or huge cash amounts, it only claims a few cents a post and payout at the end of the month if you have reached $10.

I don't think mylot is a scam at all.
#1, so what if you are paid pennies? You are not paying to sign up here.You are on the computer, posting, sending messages, downloading pictures, etc., anyway, take a few cents and say thank you. It is more than you had when you logged on. Nobody said it was a place to get rich quick!
#2, I have made more here in 6 weeks than I have at other sites in 6 months! And, what did I do to get it? I responded to discussions that caught my attention, I uploaded a few pictures, and best of all, I met a lot of friendly, interesting people. All things I do when I am on line anyway.
#3. People who think they are going to make tons of money on line without having to be on line 24/7 are, in my opinion, lazy.
Now, to those of you who are not able to work, for whatever reason, I mean no disrespect. I am just talking about those who think they can sit back and do nothing and get rich quick by doing so.
And, I agree with you, rosedust. I love this site. I have made a few bucks, I have stimulated my mind, and best of all, I have made friends. MyLot ROCKS!

Sometimes this place can be quite negative, people flame for no reason or just give you a minus remark because they don't like you not because you said anything bad. In that respect i think mylot definitely has some faults.
I have seen the other discussion about mylot being a scam. Everyone has a different experience of mylot, if they think it is a scam then their experience is no less than yours or mine, i think. They are free to think what they like without being the topic of a conversation here.

I hear you snowberries and I understand how negative this place can be because I have seen that happen here. If you were able to read the article that I read, you'd get the feeling that the person has not been here long enough to actually make a review of it. I personally have nothing against it but if I were to ever write a review about anything, it would be because I've been in the site or been with a product long enough to actually give out a "good" review. Thanks for your insight. Appreciate it.

I just dabble here, but have been paid a couple of times. I don't know who wrote the review, but perhaps they were lured into the site by people who made up things about earnings. I've seen people trying to boost their referrals and such by telling others you can make big truck loads of money on Mylot, which just is not true. Perhaps the reviewer was in fact scammed by someone else in that sort of way.

I don't believe mylot is a scam. I alone already got paid thru paypal and I must say that mylot is honest to its members. At first I joined mylot for the payoff. But as time goes by and with every visit I slowly learned to post without thinking of monetary returns. I'm already enjoying mylot as a forums site that discuss everything under the sun. I get to meet new and interesting people across the globe. I also get to learn new things every day. Mylot is very informative and FUN! I'm happy I found this treasure site.

Well!!!...This is quite an obvious that anything that gets famous and successful...there will a lot of people who will have to loose something...may be the competitors!!! that is why people keep on saying these kinds of things!!!
Well Mylot is one amongst the numerous other online communities!!!!...I have been member of quite a few...all making hard cash too!!!..but they don't pay anything to any of its members....!!!! at least mylot is giving a few cents!!!
As it is said Something is better than nothing!!!!
So let these people say what ever they wana say...keep enjoying!!!

I joined MyLot to get access to new ideas, problems and just meet people that didn't expect anything from me but some talk. I didn't join to make big money. In fact money isn't that important in comparison to the help I have received from members.
Those people that state that MyLot is a scam are possibly ones who figure that they can make big money by sitting on their duffs and posting like crazy. When you do the math, you would have to post a ton per hour to make minimum wage. That is a concept that I couldn't get through to my son in law. He has gone to numerous money sites figuring that he could make big bucks opening and reading email, posting, playing games etc. If he used half the energy looking for a job and keeping it, he would be way ahead.
I am about to post another discussion about my daughter and family. I know that there will be responses that will make me feel better, because right now I am at an all time low! (Plus my cat is eating my burger for me...LOL, she's spoiled rotten, so what do I expect?) The point is that I depend more on MyLot for feed back than for money...and as you stated, this is time spent that I don't regret!

Mylot is not a scam, it can never be. In fact, any one can find tons of postings put in by members about paying reliably and regularly to anyone reaching payout threshold. Yes it is true that Mylot pays few cents per posts. But how much do you expect from a free to join social networking forum. As far as I've searched on internet, all similar sites pay about the same rate per post. So the rates per post paid by Mylot are in accordance to the norms prevalent among reliable pay per post sites.
Here one should keep in mind that those sites claiming to pay few dollars per post did actually never paid and are real scams and I advice to everybody to stay away from such scams.

Apparently those people have a gripe with Mylot, but it can't be because they don't pay. I had only been here 6 weeks and got my payout of $26.44. And, it came right on time. I didn't have to even ask or beg. The people calling Mylot a scam probably did something illegal and got thrown out. And then they go off on a tantrum and start hollering 'scam'.

there is no way ,mylot is a trusted site, well i havent paid yet because its my first month here but i am always reading praises of people about mylot and i trust mylot fully , maybe it may pay little but that doesnt mean that mylot is a scam, scam means sites which says that they will pay you money for the things they say and when you reach payout they dont pay that means scam sooo mylot is not scam , anyway happy mylottings

If I'm being scammed, I'd rather be scammed by friends at mylot and get a few cents than to be scammed OUT OF my money by the enemy that don't even payout. At least I'm doing what I enjoy doing with the friends here. I wouldn't go elsewhere if they pd me to. One terrific place.

well I cant say I think this place is a "scam" and I cant say I know any better than what other people have said about them being able to cash out... but who cares?! We didnt put money into it, we are meeting friends and helping people out... if we make money doing it, thats awesome! I dont see why someone would be so turned off by making some extra cash while talking to some amazing people and helping people out!!

for me mylot is still the best site i trust, even just cents you will recieve, but because of that cents giving you oppurtunity to have a dollar & dollar till you can cash out not by cent but a blingking dollar:))

I love this site. First of all we get to know different people through their writings, then we learn that other people have so many problems where ours is so very less. Then we do get advice on solving our problems. and most important, the writing contact is so nice.

My lot is not a scam if this is a scam there will be no users at all i dont know wether my lot is paying or not but this is a very good scoialize site where i am getting so many ideas and suggestion for what i post. I want to know who earned big money in mylot.

I was skeptical at first but tried it anyway and found that I could make a few bucks while being entertained, informed and amused. You don't have to ask for payout, they just do it if you've reached the minimum.
I like it here! Nice people, irritating people, some nutcases--just like a real community!

People used to think a site is a scam if they didnt get pay from it when tehy expected to be pay... hehehehe, no need to be sad about it I supposed :)...
I'm new at my lot, and finding it quite fun, so why should be bother bout people saying that its a scam? :)
