Finally the end of summer is near and in a small way I'm happy about that even though I'm not a big winter person but love the Fall. I realize since there are so many people from different countries a lot of you don't celebrate labor day but for those who do .... Have you made any plans for the weekend? Do you do something special every year? Are you happy that summer is almost over?

Normally we go camping on Labor Day, it's usually our last camping outing of the season. This year, my s/o may be working that weekend, so we aren't really planning anything. Since we really haven't had summer weather this year in the Northeast, I can't say I'm ready for it to be over (I'm from the South and 80 degrees in August just isn't right lol). I do love the fall up here and look forward to it every year for the past 3 years, I love all the colors of fall, and I have to admit, since this will only be my 4th winter up here, I still look forward to the first snowfall.

I haven't been camping all summer and it doesn't look like I'll be going labor day either. So much has happened this year and I'm hoping next year will be different.

my kids go back to school on the 2nd of sept so this is the last hurrah of summer. on the saturday of the weekend we were thinking of going to the canadian national exhibition and on the monday we are going to go canoeing/swimming at the beach and take a picnic with some friends...it will make for a very nice last weekend of summer for the kids.

I love it when parents take their kids on a last vacation of the summer. I did when my kids were small.

For labor day itself we dont have anything planned. But for that weekend we are busy. Friday night we will be taking our camper out to these very small fairgrounds and spending the night. Saturday is a area picnic at the grounds so we'll spend the day there and probably camp that night too. Then sunday we are getting up and going to a small amusement park with the kids and my sister and her family and my parents. We got a flyer in the mail for 6 free tickets so we couldn't pass it up. So monday we'll probably just spend relaxing and recouping for the next week. That wednesday is the start of the firemans jubilee and it goes till sunday so we'll take our camper out to there and stay the weekend out there too.
