Blissful Ignorance or Painful Reality?

Would you choose blissful ignorance over painful reality or the other way around? Why? An example would be in the movie "The Matrix". Would you choose the red pill and wake up to the real world or choose the blue pill and stay in the matrix? And don't forget the why~ Thanks!

hi bale...in the movie the matrix i would choose the blue pill. the world is far more pleasant.
