If so, why? Why do we watch them? Do you get involved with the people involved? Do you get upset at them, or feel sorry for them? Do you think such shows will last? Do you have a lasting favourite Reality TV star?

I like very few reality shows. The two I love are Miami Ink and L.A. Ink.Both are about tattoo shops. There isn't a show where people have to do silly things or eat weird things or lie to win money. It is just a straight forward show about all types of people getting tattoos and the story behind the tattoo.I also liked, yes past tense, The Real World on MTV. I saw the first seasons when the kids didn't know that if they go on the show to be a star. The best season was the first. It was in New York and the 7 were truly being themselves.

I saw some of the Real World too, shown over here both on satellite and terrestrial. I saw the show with Puck, the cycle courier; he really stood out.

...but that was the Real World: San Franciso. I found it depressing in parts as I recall; I always feel bad to watch folks quarrel on TV. Still I keep watching these shows. I applied to be on Big Brother UK season 1 but they didn't offer me an audition. I also auditioned for the first X Factor show.

I do like reality shows as some of them can be really fun to watch. But now in england I think there are far too many, some too much the same and they seem to be the most thing shown on the telly
