win, lose or DRAW

I like to sketch things on my pad. I am not an artist or something I just like to draw stuffs. I usually draw with a pencil and a pen, I am not really good in other drawing tools such as brush or pastel or oil or charcoal. First because I don't have money to buy it, second I think it really needs an artist hand and an artistic mind to be able to use it. Do you draw? Which drawing tool do you prefer and why?

I am an artist who loves to draw. I like to drawing with pencils and archival pens. I have approximately 100 or 150 pens in different colors and textures. I am very particular about the paper I draw on, also. I love many different types of paper from those with smooth to rough surfaces. I like to paint, too, but, at the present time, I prefer drawing with pens. Have a great day. And, thanks for starting this discussion!

I also prefer to use pencil and pen.. Not really good at brushes or any of those other things that I find being used by those who are really good at what they do. They might be humble or say that they are not confident with what they do yet, when you do see their works, they are really impressive. I'm not much of a good artist either or should I even call anything to the drawings that I try. Some would praise it but, I would always say that they just think so and being polite. If they could only see those that I'm impressed on, surely their opinion about my work would change as well. Anyway, I try to enjoy what I do. Not really into being proud of my work but, just enjoy doing them. Pencil and pen still and I could only color my work when I get it scanned and use an image editing software. I like using them since that's what I am really use to in using. If I think that I have improved, that's only when would I try other things.. I'm not that really good at applying colors by hand as I see it.. (-_-")

I guess we shouldn't look at it as a problem, though I can't deny envying those that really do well with other tools when they draw.. Some would consider it a phase that we either just have to go through while we enjoy what we do and it would progress either with still using pencil and pen or adapt to other tools while drawing. Now that we can use computer applications to improve ourselves, that means we're developing, even when we think we're not (-_-")

We have the same problem and we use the same methods. Now I am learning to use Photoshop and I am enjoying it so far. It is quite easy to use and the possibility of making a great art is big. Thanks for that ratyz

I don't really draw because I am not good at drawing. I would love to be able to draw well though. It seems that I can only appreciate nice things but can't seem to create them.

I do not draw very often,as I am not very good at it,but I used to have a floppy disk with the game win lose or draw on it,and I used to play that on the computer because it was a lot of fun,and the only time I really draw is if I am playing win lose or draw or any other games that involves drawing, because in those instants drawing is actually fun,and not a hassle like it seems to be otherwise.

That's not bad at all. But I think drawing it with your own hands is more rewarding than being done by a computer though you are the one using that computer and your the one thats creating that drawing. Am I making any sense at all? Thanks anyways hellcowboy.

Yeah your making perfect sense, and I know sometimes it is more rewarding to draw with your own hands, but at least when you draw on the computer it is still you drawing so it is still good, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

I'm not good in drawing. I just got A+ once in drawing class when I was at primary school, and that was the only good memory for me in drawing. Now I just draw for my three years old son, and if I draw horse for example, it will be like cow and when I draw cow it's look like goat... But my son like. I'm always a hero in his life..

Having a son is like winning a trophy especially when he treats you as his hero, a friend and a mentor. I would like to have that special feeling too when I get older. A cow that looks like a goat is not bad at all at least its still an animal right. LOL
