Boy it is almost gone. I can't wait to see the sun. It has hung out here for 5 days. And I live on a marshland. I would walk outside twice aday to check to see if the marsh was comming up to the house. Thank God there is a 2 foot drop off into the marsh but it did get up to the edge. I feel for all the people in daytona. If it is that bad here which is 40 miles from the beach as the crow flies. I can't image what it is like there. Please everyone add a special prayer for the Florida victims. The thing that is scary is there are more waves lined up in the ocean between Africa and the States. If you can share your stories.

My father-in-law lives in Stuart. We were visiting him last week and left on Monday, the first day that his area got rain. It was very difficult to see on the way to the airport, West Palm Beach. We were scheduled on the 410 flight to Atlanta. The weather was so iffy that they got a bigger plane and combined the 600 flight with ours to get people out. There was major turbulence until the plane got past Orlando. Dad said it is still raining alot. I don't think he put his accordion shutters up though. I am glad you are safe and dryish.

That must have been a very scary flight. I am also glad you made it ok. We did not cover our windows either. Was not sure what was going to happen. I am also glad to hear your dad is doing good

The girl must have loved blocking the sun! I haven't seen this much rain in I can't tell you. Lake Okeechobee is back to normal level, first time in like three years or something. My house is boarded up and staying that way till November!! I am thinking about doing a can food drive. Things are bad and the food banks were already low so they have to be close to zero now. I will be continuing to pray for all of our Florida victims. ♥ ♥
