How can i cook a crunchy french fries?

French fries is my son's favorite. he likes to dip it in gravy sauce rather than in ketchup. and im just wondering how does the fastfood resto make their french fries crunchy. i sometimes tried to cook a french fries but it is always soggy. hehe!

I've heard that a really good way of getting your french fries to be crispy is to cook them in the oven for a while and then only fry them for a couple of minutes. Apparently that gets them nice and soft in the centre, and crispy on the outside. Good luck!

mom asks why does it need to be crunchy? drix cannot appreciate that right now, so soggy ones are better for him (that's according to mother, okay? you know i am SO clueless when it comes to cooking!)
