Earth Quake rumors in AndhraPradesh, India....

India

People here near my place, Hyderabad, HAVE been spending their day time, as also night times.. out in the open, as there have been rampant rumors about an impending EARTH QUAKE. How this rumor started -- none knows. And the competition between various 24 hour news channels, most of which are regional language based.. have been playing havoc with the sentiments and beliefs of the common man, and adding fuel to the fire of RUMORS. what is the position --- in the rest of world?

Well, I haven't heard of it yet;) Of course I'm in the US, far away from the place of danger. Before that big quake in China a couple months back animals were apparently observed exhibiting peculiar behavior. One of which was a major frog migration. Generally one can say, wild animals are in tune with nature and they can sense if something is wrong. The assumption is that they feel the pressure building underneath and instinctively try to get away. Maybe somebody in your area observed signs like that or strange animal behavior and based the diagnosis of an impeding earthquake on that. Or somebody just played a cruel hoax. At this point it's doubtful to figure out who first started passing out the information;) If you want to know, if something is wrong, look for the signs in nature, look at the wild animals, see what they are doing;)

oh. in this concrete jungle, it is hard to find animals, but, there are loads of dogs and cats roaming and loafing around. But, the point that I wanted to tell you all is... the DIRTY 24 hour news channels, which have started and floated the rumours. Thankyou for your concern, and thankyou for the tips. I am honored by your eagerness to help. Happy Mylotting.
