In my own experience I felt so nervous and I even wish that time was over as soon as possible.LOL!! I don't even remember if I am doing the right steps of the dance. But still, it feels good at the end when they clapped their hands after your performance.

Well it is a good thing that you can get the confidence to dance in front of a crowd. Even you are not a dancer, you had made a wonderful performance.

I love dancing! But I do still get nervous when I'm in front of a crowd especially if it's a competition. I just project during the performance so people don't notice how nervous I am! haha...

i never dance in public. it's not good for my reputation the only dance i did in front of the crowd is a bad dance (it's actually a good dance but i did it badly ) i did when i played a role in a play for celebrating chirsmas. but i don't so nervous, as that was a comic play. as long as they laughed, everything would be ok.

I don't think you made it badly, maybe because you are not that confident when you do that. And you are absolutely right when you said that as long as the crowd laughed everything would be ok, I mean as long as the people are responding you know you did a good job.

As a dancer, I'm happy and really enjoy to dance in a huge crowd...But in my first experience to dance in public i also felt nervous, nervous to forget the steps cause it really makes you embarrassed at the same time if you forgot it...^___^... But for now, as a dancer and choreographer you need to show what you've got, don't think that you can't do it...just enjoy it and have fun...

thank you for responding. I agree with you, that you always felt nervous in your first time, but the succeeding time, you can learn to enjoy the moment. As they said, there is always a first time.

I hate dancing. I feel like an idiot. Even if I'm on the dance floor with many others I'm nervous. I hate dancing and preforming in front of a big crowd. Your not the only one who is nervous before a show. I'm terrified

You know at that moment I also feel like an idiot, in front of people, however, in your case it is maybe a matter of confidence and encouragement. Because sometimes, others are confident in dancing even they are not good at it.

Haha hey peach the first time i dance in front of a huge crowd was on my school stage for some events me too felt nervous.I will get the butterflies in my stomach.Seriously the butterflies are ticklish ^^ but to tell you one thing when I went out onto the stage I knew that there was no turning back and hiding behind the curtains so might as well just do my best out there. The worst thing that can happen is you get freaking nervous and forget the whole dance step.Well that happens to you right? But try your best to follow your other crew members if you got one and don't make it so obvious to the audience that you don't know the dance steps. At least do the dance because the audience won't know how the dance steps goes like. And yeah I agree that it feels damn good when they clapped and cheered for you.For me I feel like going back out there and do an encore :D Breathe in and breathe out as much as you can before the performance!Hahaha!:D

I hate dancing. I'd rather sing than dance. In our school, we always have our annual program and our department is always ask to do a dance number. Luckily, many of my colleagues are good in dancing so I can just join the group, do a little dance and nobody will notice me much because we have many good dancers. I am always staying at the back because first, I am the tallest and second, I am not really good in dancing. They have to cover me up.

I love dancing in front of a crowd. I have been dancing since I could stand. I have rhythm in my blood. I dance at family gatherings, clubs...anywhere there is music. Even sometimes I start moving a little and there is no music playing lol. Ever since the age of 5 I have been in dance recitals. I did tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, modern, line dancing. I have done so much and it feels like a new experience every time. I think that is because it is always possible that someone new is watching and that means that someone else will always see the talent that I have, and I love expressing that to people. And really you don't have to know certain steps to look like you know what you're doing. If you have rhythm, your fine. All you have to do is feel the music and the rest will take place. I love that I can express myself through my dancing. There are no rules, and you can just be how you want to be. It is the best feeling in the world.

it doesn't matter to me.when it's a dance competition,as long as I enjoy it and remember the steps well,I'm ok even if I am dancing at the back.if it's a night out in a bar,I won't care.if the music makes me dance I will dance.no need to drag or force me to dance.if I don't feel like dancing,I won't.
