xp and vista are versions of windows 6.0. windows is actually advertsing its newest version of OS that will be released in late 2009 or january 2010. the OS is more usercentric, it allows you to bring your system configuration (fonts, homepage, and other defaults) of your computer to other PC's or laptops. the windows is said to have no more compatibility issues like the windows vista.

Well,I too heard about Windows 7 in some magazines and some other articles in internet.I'm really thrilled by hearing about this because I want to use this OS and test that it is better than Vista or not.I had some bad experience with Vista, N' now I'm using Xp. I like Vista's appearance and all but it ends in crashing my system. I'm really fed up with this, not only me my friends too had the same experience and now we all have a little hope in Windows 7 ... Happy mylotting!!!!!!!!

I just recently read about windows 7 in an article which says that Microsoft is planning windows 7 release as a minor release. The article can be viewed at http://news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-10019113-56.html It says that windows 7 release will just be known as windows server 2002 r2. The multi touch interface is something to look out for i assume. http://news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-9953243-56.html Lets wait.. till 2010 i think..

All I know about windows 7 is that it is like a server OS like windows NT. I think it will be cool. So I'm going to wait for it.

I have been following this one. It seems to be a big improvement over Vista especially all the new touch screen function. Seems Microsoft is afraid that Apple will introduce all the attention grabbing iPhone touch functions onto its Mac OS. Theres also Windows Mobile 7, which also boasts multi-touch and all the bells and whistles the iPhone has. Waiting for both 7s to be out!
