Only 5 weeks left til the playoffs and there are some good division races going on. Baseball is a passion for me, not just a sport. It's the closest thing I have to a religion. Anyone interested enough to make a prediction or two or twenty about who's going to the postseason and who's going home? Just, let's talk some country hardball.

I am praying to the Gods of baseball that this is FINALLY going to be the year of my Cubs! Seriously, I know God has nothing to do with who wins the big prize. It takes good managing, good defense and pitching, good timely hitting and no serious injuries to key players (knockin' on wood.)The Cubs have been playing stellar baseball, with just a few bumps. They have the pitching, hitting, defense and a manager that can take them all the way. The American League is a tough one. Are the Yankees out of it? I sure hope so!!! My final prediction (drumroll please!) Cubbies vs Rays. 7 games...Cubbies win!! PEACE

I wish I could say Cleveland but that's not going to happen. That year has been bad for them though I will admit they are playing much better now but I'm afraid it's too little too late. If I can't have that, I would like to see the Yankees not make it just to see what type of reaction the media would have on that. The Wild Card is going to be close between the Twins and Red Sox. AL East-Rays AL West-Angels AL Central-White Sox AL Wild Card-Twins/Red Sox I only got maybe two divsions figured out perhaps and that would be the NL Central and West. I have the Wild Card I believe. NL East-Phillies/Mets NL Central-Cubs NL West-Diamondbacks NL Wild Card-Brewers As for who wins it all, my guess would be The Angels. They just seem to be too tough to beat. I don't know if the Cubs can do it because there's still some questions on that team on whether they can get out of the first round and if they do, be able to get the job and make it to the World Series. That's a team that hasn't been there since 1945 and I believe they are due to make it.

I think the addition of Mark Texiera will give the Angles enough to make the World Series... if not win it. Although im a die-hard braves fan.. so im pretty sad they traded him. As for the NL i think the Cubs will make the world series. Honestly i think the cubs could beat the angles if it came down to it
