Do you go back?

Do you go back to those discussions you have commented to? Or you don't bother to browse back. Is it just a waste of time or you think that will gain you more than just earnings. Meaning you could gain friends by doing so, an active friend that regularly response to your post. Wouldn't that be nicer to have a companion here not just someone you know.

I get email alerts (am assuming everyone else does too!) which tell me when someone has commented on my response to discussions! I always look what has been written and respond if it's appropriate, i have had a few 'conversations' this way, like you say it helps you to build up friendships with fellow mylotters!! xxx

no I usually don't. Cause it kills much time. I relly love to response more ant more. So its quite difficult for me toremember where I have posted my last response. But whenever someone post interesting response in my discussion then I camment on them and sometime I mark them as the best resposne.

I base my decisions on the discussions, as I have had discussions with some MyLotters that went on for pages regardless of $$. Others, not so much, as none was required. What can you respond to: * "Thanks for responding." * I might drop a "Your welcome," or I might not. It just depends on what mood I'm in or what my schedule is telling me to do. * I have a few friends here that would be keepers even if MyLot shut down. I wrote an answer for another MyLotter with concerns about exactly that, and I told her that she should open a Yahoo account for her MyLot friends...

If I found it an interesting discussion I will return and read what other people have added to the discussion, after I made my response. I don't think about my earnings when I am reading, rating and responding. I do many things at myLot just out of interest. I try to treat everyone the same at myLot. I often respond to regular myLotters who are not on my list of friends and I don't bother to add them as a friend.

from time to time i always check those that i responded and there's also or i think it's a default setting that when someone made a comment it sends you a notice in your email. usually i start from there then browse in the interests that i have and jump from time to time in my friend's list. and i also made sure that if i like and i have interest in my members discussion, i see to it to drop by and chip in what i think of the discussion. most often drop a lengthy message. lol and it's really nice when you talk to someone whom you know, eyt?

I go back to discussions that interest me and that were initiated by friends. I have a couple of good mylot friends here that regularly respond to my discussions and I do the same for them. You get to know people better if you take the time to read more then just one discussion initiated by them. This is also the reason why I don't accept just anyone to be my mylot friend; I want to be able to keep putting in the time and effort to reply to my friends and when you have a lot it's hard to keep up and give all of them a good amount of attention. So I do agree it's better to have some good mylot friends then a bunch of loose responses.

So you pick and select the one's to keep. Thats a nice method in selecting friends here. But I did the opposite, I just add friends by random. If you replied to my post then I would definitely add you. That is my motto here. Thanks cyberfluf for spending your time and giving me your comment.

I try to if I start a discussion, simply because I consider it good manners to acknowlage other's responses in a thread you create. Also, If I create a thread, it is usualy something that is of great interest to me and I just enjoy discussing it. I don't know how it effects the earnings, I have nebver been ableto figure out the myterious mylot earning methods and I long ago gave up on trying to get rich here. Now, I'm mostly here because I love running my opinion hole.

Replying to comments and giving ratings are good manners here. Its like acknowledging the other's effort to post. So if you post to someone's post they will do the same thing (thats what I think). It sometimes don't happen so don't expect much. It is nice to be heard to, its kinda fulfilling if somebody commented to your post.

Yes, I do go back and check up on past discussions. Although it's nice to get a small amount of money for doing this, my main reason for doing it is to exchange ideas with people. Depending on when people log on, you may have to go back a few times to wrap up a discussion.

That is very true, you have to be patient and be active to reply to responses. You should frequently browse to your posted discussions and to the ones you've put a comment in. Thanks Uroborous for you response.

Yes, I love to go back to the discussions I have responded to know if they have benefited even 1% from my response. I go back to see what have they said about my response, did they like it or not. It affects my future responses somehow.

We must feel proud of what we have already posted . I think what our thouts were when we posted that discussion. To me every discussion u made afresh is a brain child of the discussion you made at initial stage. I hope that we can get inspiration from our initial discussions for making new discussions. The first is First.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. With all I have going right now it's a miracle I have time to ever post on MyLot at all. SO, at best, I try to go back and respond if someone has asked me a question or commented on a discussion I started. I know this probably isn't the friendliest way to do things, but sometimes my schedule makes my head spin!

Thats just fine steeleIC. At least you still give a little time to spend it here. I think mylot is a great way for you to erst. It's quite relaxing for me, and sometimes I don't even notice the time when I am here. Often times I forgot to do my chores because of mylot, but thats okay. Thanks steelIC for having time to read my discussion and giving out your comment to it.

I always check my e-mail for that... If there is any comment which need my respond, I will go back to respond, and if there is nothing that I can do, I just leave it. I think nobody will check every respond or discuss unless he do nothing but always on-line. Usually I respond to more than 10 discussions daily, I cannot go back to it in another day because I have to respond for the new discussion too.

Well, as far as I am concerned, I will go back to them. As much as I can, I like to keep the conversations alive as long as possible. This is the best way to keep the money coming in! That is also part of the reason why you see my number of posting move so slowly. It is because my earnings come mostly from the replying to posts that responded to my responses of postings.

Yea. I definitely reply to all the responses I receive. I do this not because of the earnings as I do not even know if that really pays. I think it's only polite to reply. I also appreciate if people reply to me.

That is the attitude. People here, (not everyone) tends to forget the purpose here. Beyond earning money, you also react with people, you earn friends here also. And that is priceless in my book. Thanks for the reply poohgal.

Yes I go back to discussions I have responded to because I am interested in what the person thinks of my comments. I may have been drawn to this site originally because it paid me to discuss ideas but I stayed because I enjoy expressing my ideas and responding to other people's, the money is a bonus. I do not post much as I tend to only respond to ideas that interest me and I do not see the point in saying something if someone has already said what I was thinking, so I do not make much money but I do enjoy my time here. I also do not spend a lot of time here as I have many other things to do but I tend to check the discussions out about once a day.

I do sometimes go back and see if anything else has been added and sometimes I forget to go back or can not find the post I am looking for. (on the ones I left a comment under a response but did not respond to the original post) I love having friends here but not everyone will be a friend some will just be a acquaintance.

Some topics i go back to. I want to see what others say about it, or if someone comments on my response, sometimes other responses leave an option for me to post again in rebuttal. I have went back on a few and ended up making friends with the person who originally posted it.

That is nice, having some friends in the net is really something I am looking forward to. I would like to gain more friends here, those with essence and wisdom so I could learn from their experiences.
