Biden is a huge mistake...awful choice!

I'm not long for this pain in the butt site where all the restrictions make it such hard work to participate. Joe Biden puts an end to the message of change that Barack Obama used to get many of us to follow him in the first place. He is an outright betrayal to those of us Republicans who have had to battle lifelong friends over our support of Obama. One of the most significant things Obama had going for him is the age difference between him and McCain...with Biden that goes out the window. He'll be 66 a couple of weeks after the election and hasn't been in good health. There were at least two dozen worthy Democrats, mostly in the House, who could have reinforced the change message. This is a terrible choice and reflects poorly on Obama's judgement. The Republican Party is going to have a field day using Biden's own words against Obama. Remember, Bide was a pathetic campaigner for President THIS year and said some very harsh things about Obama early on. Look for many ads on TV and online with clips of Biden trashing Obama.

Oh yes, this is gonna be good. I can't wait to see what they say about this on the Daily show and on Colbert. Can't wait to wait Meet The Press in the morning and Fox News with Chris Wallace. Not to mention Stepanoplis (sp?). He really blew it this time. Joe Biden can't not put his foot in his mouth. I hope Obama has plenty of duct tape. Why on earth did he do it? Is he trying to throw the race?

Well, he's not throwing my vote, because I'm still going to vote for him over McCain, but yeah, it was a very stupid decision to me as well.

I totally agree with you. I personally think that if he was going to pick one of his "rivals," a more appropriate pick would have been Bill Richardson. Then again, I think it was pretty dumb of him to pick a rival regardless.

Mccain's pick was a bad choice. Barack did a better job at picking his Vice President than John did. I actually like Joe Biden as a Vice President.

I like Joe Biden a hell of a lot more than I like Sarah Palin, and I understand the significance of Barack picking him. It's all politics, and the fact that Barack has come so far in such a short period of time in his political career shows me how good he is at being a politician. I'm still voting for him over McCain. No question.

Thanks for giving me best response! That was totally unexpected. On another note, what do you think of McCain choosing Palin?
