You are asking quite an ambiguous question. I assume, by html code, you mean a link of a kind, perhaps (like a referral code)? Or you mean the editing a html document in notepad and uploading it to a webhost of sorts?

So, do you still have a problem now? Or is it solved, cause it sounds like you got it figured out. Unless, you meant the actual uploading of the html file to your webhost. If so, then there are a variety of ways, depending on which webhost you are using. Some webhosts offer an interface which you can access by logging into their website where you can change all sorts of settings, including uploading your webpage. Other webhosts instead prefer for you to use an FTP application to log in to their website. In which case, you should go download FileZilla, or some other FTP application. You will need to know your the password and username for accessing the FTP on your website. If you don't know the username or password, you will have to check with your webhost for that.

That depends. What kind of publishing service are you using? Did you build the site yourself? Frontpage? Go Daddy?
