Now I'm not a believer at all but i have answered quite a few discussions about GOD in the last few days, can't find a whole discussion topic just for GOD to have all by himself, so with this being sunday and its meant to be the day of the sabbath for those who believe I thought I would do my good deed for the day by creating a whole new discussion for peole to write about God in. Hope that is ok with everyone, keep all God things together and eaiser to find. I don't believe at all but I do really like to read peoples views and like the bible stories and think they do give out good morals for the world etc.

Many people are like you in that they do not believe in God. Personally I feel that this is mainly because of the commercialization and rigidness of organized religion putting out a negative perspective. As far as I am concerned a relationship with God is a personal one; and it most certainly does not have to be along the lines of some established and formal format. I believe in God and embrace that there is a higher power in all of our lives; I just choose not to believe along the lines of standard religions. Why do I believe? Because there HAS to be more to life than life itself for one! I have spent many a moment learning about all the different faiths and religions and feel that I have managed to combine aspects of each that suit my own purposes in life. My relationship with God is on my own terms and at my own pace! I am not taking away anything from others that have chosen to follow a specific faith to the letter; it is just not for me. Faith and a relationship with God needs to be unrestrained and joyful; not bound by terms.
