I always get the confusion with these sort of words. CAN someone give me a clear clue .. about how to correctly remember these words, in the correct context? Like the words ADOPTING and ADAPTING.

hmmm how about this? I try to associate the words with their meanings: adApt-- A is for assimilate, adjust to conform to a situation, like She's trying to adapt herself in a hostile environment after being treated like a princess at home vs adOpt--O to represent orphans, orphanage, since to adopt means to take or welcome into one's family likeThey never could conceive a child so they decided to adopt a baby girl at the nearby orphanage. Hope I was able to help! Enjoy your day!
