In what position do you sleep? On your back? Belly? Side? Do you often change positions when sleeping or you stick to one side?

I usually sleep on my stomach or on my side. I think I change positions as I toss and turn in my sleep.

I sleep on my right side. I don't know why, but that's the only way that I can get to sleep. Of course when I wake up I'm usually on my back or on my left side. I think I toss and turn a lot too. I've woken up because my hand or foot collided with the wall, lol. And I've never slept on my stomach, way to uncomfortable for me.

I usually read before sleep and I do this lying down on my side, but then I move onto my back in the night, and then back again. In fact I fidget non stop which is horrible. This is a problem as I tend to also lift one leg up like being in fetal position, whilst lying on my back. Then this leg goes down and the other comes up. I know all this as I suffer with my back. Since having a slipped disc a couple of years ago, I find that my back gets really sore, and most mornings I cannot move through the pain, and it is a serious struggle to even roll over and sit up. What I haven't managed to work out is whether the pain is coming on due to me fidgeting too much and thrashing my legs about, or whether the thrashing about is a result of me being uncomfortable or in pain whilst sleeping and so my body trying to get more comfortable. Either way it hurts, I know that much. I have even changed to an orthopaedic mattress which is more comfy to sleep on but still means waking up in pain each day.

I always sleep the best when I am on my belly! With one arm under the pillow! But when I was pregnant I had to lay on my side with pillows everywhere for support!
