People? Are we the higher living existence?

Aside from God of course. He is the highest of all. Is people the only higher existence throughout the universe? I know we feel that we are, but again, we do not know if there's someone out there that has their own existence maybe from other planets in the galxy that people havent discovered yet. What do you think about this? Do you think there are still others out there that is greater and more articulate than us?
