Does this annoy any of you as much as it annoys me??? If someone wants to add a comment in my friends section on my profile page then make a friendly comment! It is frustrating when someone goes and puts nothing but a referral banner there with no comments whatsoever..... I appreciate that people wish to promote themselves to increase earnings on other sites; I appreciate also that you need to put your referral links in as many places as possible as it is a numbers game..... Just DON'T put the links on my profile page! Am I over reacting here???

Does it annoy me?
It's spamming!
I got round it by removing the comment box from my profile. If people want to contact me they have a PM for that. This disgusting method of just sticking unrequested things in other people's profiles is a horrid habit.
Get round it like I did

Thankfully it does not happen to me often as it most definitely IS spam. I think I will leave my comment box there though and give those members that DO have some decorum the benefit of the doubt for any future comments they may ever wish to add! Thanks for responding.

I agree, it's spamming and if it would happen to me I'd be annoyed aswell.
I haven't had such messages on my profile yet (fingers crossed), I only have one message on it thanking me for the friend-add.
This could also merely mean that I am alone and very pityfull with no 'friends' to spam me

Ah, so I'll be ok with my one reply
. I reckon I should give away some myself if I want to get some in return, I actually have never thought about doing so but it's a nice thing to do (as long as their are no hidden URL's anywhere)

SPAM needs to stay on the supermarket shelves I reckon! And even then I ain't touching it..... I hope you never do get any then and funnily enough no "friend" would ever do it; it's the new ones that tend to. Thanks for responding and hopefully you will get some more comments from friends soon to keep your lone one company! I don't have many either by the way. Just three I think?

I'm not sure if you are over reacting. Just ignore it if you don't like it.
It's been ages since I looked at my profile page (sorry everyone who's put a comment there).
I feel the referral links are better in the profile page than in discussions or responses (where the one who starts the discussion gets his/her discussion deleted).

I have thankfully not received any more since posting this discussion so all's well that ends well! I understand that some people take online earnings very seriously and that referrals are a strategic aspect of their ongoing success; I just wish for them to direct people to their OWN profile page for promotion rather than use my own for their purposes is all. Thanks for the comments.

Just a tad dear, but maybe its the time of the month!but I havent a clue what is going on ,yousay that your space has been invaded with banners,so I take it that someone is sadvrtising on your profile?is that allowed?or is it banned by Mylot, and if it is banned then surely the perpetrator should be punished.but lol at least you have taken time to compile a profile,I havent got around to doing mine yet,I mean to every time that I log on,but then the discussions catch my eye and im off,no time to prepare profiles.

Iagree with you James. There is a place on our profile pages for us to put our banners, why people feel they have to use other members comment sections to do so, is beyond me. if you ask me, that is definite spamming. No you are not overreacting.
